About 20 years ago an old department store in the city of Rochester, NY called Tent City (they sold camping supplies amongst other things) decided they needed more storage space. The building was a brick structure built in the 40's so they literally knocked down a wall. Behind it they found a room that no one knew about & it was filled with old stock that was still in the boxes!! Most of it was tin litho *_"Rockets, Ray Guns & Robots"!!!_* Some was in sad shape but a great deal wasn't. They built a long set of glass shelves & displayed them Museum Style on the main floor. Sometimes I went there just to gawk at the toys! lol
Thanks for the video! I love tin toys, as a kid I had a few. I always loved them more than my plastic ones. A few years back I got an atomic robot that takes batteries. These toys bring me back to a time when the world was a lot bigger and we were far more innocent.
