Watch me fix a rusted place in the floor of my 1963 Chevy II Nova. If you have a small area in the floor (or even in the trunk) of your hot rod or classic car & want to fix it yourself, but dont have a welder, here is an alternative method that anyone with a grinder, a cordless screwdriver, a few hand tools, & a little bit of skill can use to make the repair themselves. There are 2 parts, so be sure to watch both of them to learn this straightforward & simple way to learn how to fix rust in the floor or trunk of your car yourself, & save lots of money in repair costs! I hope you enjoy this video. Please comment & let me know what you think, or ask any questions you may have. Thanks for watching & please subscribe to my Channel!

Nice project. It's a good alternative when there's no welder aviable. I do the same kind of repairs, but instead screws I use stainless steel rivets. Also I like your beautifull Chevy II

Thankyou my bmw E46 has rusted around the stupid rubber bungs in the rear floor ( nowhere near the sill or suspension area ) I cut away the rust treated the remaining metal cut 2 patches out ( one for under the carpet in the cabin ) riveted them in and sealer around the edge then coated in body under seal for a sort of oem look ! Went through mot like it with 0 issues

Very nice job there, will have me looking into the two front floor rust holes on my 1980 oldsmoblie. My friend fixed both of them years a go.one side he used a home air conditioner metal cover ,the other or passenger side he used metal from the hood of a car .he did a very good weld job,so I was surprise the holes came back .And I see ebay has the two front sheet metal floors for my car.But the job did last many years .But your video is on point since I'm not into welding. You gave good pointers on fixing the floor without welding great job again.

@WagsAutomotive sorry what's that padding you removed from the fire wall to prevent heat I'm restoring a nineteen sixty eight chevy impala and I just ripped out all of that but need to replace after Is sound barrier

@@Snub5741 it's called Jute padding. That's what they put in cars back then. I'd recommend you buy some heat reflective padding off ebay. It has a shiny side that goes against the floor to reflect heat away from the passenger compartment.
