Good thing this video exists. I was frustrated cause my watch wasn't getting gps and I bought it for that sole purpose... Going outside it worked in like 3 seconds. Thanks for the help :)
The title is misleading. There's no "solution" here. I do all of those things you showed in the video ang the GPS still sucks on GTR2. This doesn't happen on my pace before
These satellite GPS are not as good as Mobile one which uses WiFi, Compass, and Data. These tips will help you catch a signal, which won't make it better. I think your Pace had better GPS chipset than GTR2.
You can buy from amazfit website. It looks expensive to me but original. Cross check your mm, shall be printed on strap backwards or in watch back plate. in.amazfit.com/collections/accessories
Hello. I have the T-Rex version. Everyday the GPS works flawlessly. But just today it didn’t work. Tried everything, reboot, shut-off, synced with the app too. But it just dsnt seem to connect. Not sure what went wrong.
Thank you so much! It was indeed the update that gave me a hard time, I went out for a run today but GPS didnt wanted to allign with the satellite. However, when I came home, watched this video and updated the smartwatch by syncing with with phone (and saw that agps update) it worked like a charm. Does your phones app have to be on all the time when youre running (even if you dont bring it with you)? Huge thanks!
Glad, it was useful. No, the syncing has to be done once a week or in a few weeks. Then it will catch the signal when it's in line of sight of the satellite, phone is not required during runs/workouts, it will still record.
Same here, when it was brand new it would vibrate (saying gps has been callibrated or something) when I start the workout within 10 seconds but now it doesn't show it even with my phone connected. Idk how to fix this...even outside the gps doesn't work. :(
@@gastonvale8172 yes. I have to wait for a few seconds before pressing start. If it doesn't, it will do automatically after a few minutes into the workout. It sometimes fails when the weather is cloudy. It's not perfect.
Hi akshay I do have a issue of not receiving notifications in amazfit trex I spoke with the customer care as well I have added what's app in App alert still it doesn't work
That's mostly caused by Oppo, Vivo, and MIUI phones. You need to allow the AmazFit app to run in the background and notification and disable battery saver. I also hope you might cross-check the permissions as well.
Hey brother I have GTR 2e , Zepp App Showing 105 km cycling but when it's sync with strava In strava only showing 99 km so how can I Solve it? Is that gps problem I'm not waiting for gps positioning?
After synchronised watch with app a - gps update failed messege came. I’m unable to generate my workout record also unable to change watch face. Plz help bro
First exit the watch faces app. Try Zepp to connect to watch and apply default watch face, this works most of the time. If zepp is unable to connect, then you can reset the watch under settings manually (inside watch UI). Then pair like a new watch.
So the tips here is: stand still with the watch in a open space - preferably with a clear sky with no clouds - and wait for the signal to catch. Seriously? You really can make a video for literally anything these days and get +20k views
I amcorrecting my comment after anactivity the gps sync is perfectly alright and precise...but when automatic weather update only watch has some issue...gps while activity tracking is perfectly alright after my use till date..
The morons should've let us turn the gps connection off or at least let us disable the vibration because the "smart watch" keeps vibrating every few seconds whenever it drops or connects to the gps signal. Whenever I use it without the gps feature, it says I lost like 250 calories after a 2hr walk, which is of course a huge margin of error. I'm selling mine and not bothering with other smart watches. I'm not going to be able to wave my hands around while walking outside in winter with my hands in my pockets.
@@AKSHAYBHOPANI Nah, I'm done with them, unless I know it won't vibrate for gps connection loss/connect. I am walking inside on a treadmill, and I couldn't care less about a satellite tracking me in that specific spot I am walking in... but it just insists on doing it and vibrating every 5 seconds. If I don't use the gps workout app, it just messes up the burned calories, I walk for 2 hours straight and it says I burned 250-300 calories!? That's insane for a 184cm 82kg grown man, it should be around 1k calories, which the gps app does recognize.
It's so annoying I did a 16km run yesterday, and throughout the 90 minutes my bip u pro just couldn't find my location even though I've had my phone connected to the watch the entire time(I've had my phone recording the run so I have no idea how the Agps doesn't work)
