So this part, the “turn signal relay”, it just comes out with a pair of pliers? And the new one would snap in into place without any little screws or clamps?

I have the exact same problem. If the hazards still work then it's not the relay. I'm guessing it's a ground fault.

I can see the hazard lights it not when I turn it to left or right. What should I do?

There’s a 10amp fuse under the bonnet/hood. It’s an indicator relay/alarm fuse. Check that out
