This helped me as well. When I walk upstairs I get a pop sound from my knee pretty often. After doing these in this video, I went downstairs and back up and no noise at all. Thanks!
Thank you!! I've had clicking in my left knee for years, I've tried other peoples videos and seen several practioners and was always disappointed when the treatments didn't work for me, finally I found something that helped!
What I do is lean against the shower wall raise up the leg upwards as high as it can go stretching it with a hand supporting the kneecap having hot water directed on it loosing it up and keeping it there for 20 secs...do it 3 times on each leg..stops the pop and any pain . I'm 65 now
oh my god?? it feels like i have so much relief after a good stretch that needed to be stretched. i’ll be doing this more often to see some more long term results. thank you!
This worked for me! My right knee didn't hurt but it was grinding like a bag of broken gears. After following your demonstration, it stopped grinding 95%. Thank You!
My knees have been grinding for years. So much that I have a hard time exercising because the sound bothers me so much. I just did what you said and the left knee doesn't grind!!!! In a matter of minutes! I am going to do this every day and see how long it takes to get the right knee to stop. Thank you!!!!1
I have serious Knee issues(Arthritis) they way you put your hands ✋on your knees I do that and it really helps along with massaging it like crazy! Thanks so much Janice Harley
I don’t comment often on things but holy shit I just tried this on my knee that has been squeaking like rubber and Rice Krispies, with pain associated, and instant relief I feel like I could squat 1000lbs right now. Not sure the exact science, but I am stunned! Thanks for posting 🎉
We love converting one skeptic at a time and if you haven't checked out our other videos they are all tried and true with lots of clinical hours using these simple yet effective DIY exercises we have created or learned.
Can you further explain the exercise? I don't think I understand the concept of pulling my knee.. am I like picking it away from my leg, or towards my shin? Thank you for the video
Im amazed how this worked! Can you please explain how does this exercise help reduce the grindings? Does it help to produce more synovial fluid or does it smoothen our bone edges or... it is a temporary feeling?
Really works!!! I started playing pickle ball last week. For someone who doesn’t exercise …all of a sudden playing for 2hrs probably shocked my knee. A week later my right knee started clicking every time i bend it but thankfully no pain. I just tried this 30 second exercise…. Wow I’m amazed the clicking sound is gone!!!
Thank you so much doc ♥️ Clicking in my knees for years and sometimes there is pain after I did your exercise 80 % of it gone 👍 I will keep doing it every day, thanks again and bless you
It’s really work. My left knee has crepitus sound and a little bit pain after football. After I did your exercise, I didn’t feel pain or crepitus sound. Thank you so much ❤
I am 29 years old and I have crepitus sounds coming from both my knees. More on my left knee than the right. I am in pain intermittently but especially after working out my legs. These sounds coming from my knee make me so insecure. Is there anyone else out there in late 20s or early 30s experiencing this? Also I feel like the sounds have began to get louder.
I am 16 and I get crepitus when lunging, squatting or going up stairs. Mine is painless but it is accompanied by a feeling of tightness around the knee.
I’m 36 and have the same thing, and louder, more clicky on the left than the right. I started physio a few months ago and was told it will take a long time to realign the knees and get the right muscles working to stop the sound. I’m sticking to it and will see where I’m at in another few months. All the best and take care of yourself .
I am 18 yo and i have that problem especially while squatting, doesn't really stop me from squatting, unless it gets painful(in that case i try to fix my form slightly and then squat)
Dr Lin: I have arthritis, When I go to the gym, I ride the stationary bikes & I peddle backwards. Does that help my knees, like walking backwards? Also, if I use the stair master, will that help my knees too?
Finaly I found the problem same as mine. Thank you doc, will repeat your video and learn from you. I'm on my 40 and never do regular execise, but last month i went hiking to Kotor fortres, Montenegor. After coming down from the fortres my knee is in pain especialy for ups & downt the stairs, and felt like i don't have knee bone to support my knee anymore. 3 weeks after, i'm no longer feel the pain on my knee, but when i do squat it still make sound sometime. I'm worries theres something bad on my knee and consult to orthopedic yesterday. The doctor give me suplement and do the static bicycle and comeback in a month.
Hey Doc, been watching your vids and doing some exercises and I'm so amazed on how effective they are! I was wondering if you could share how to get rid of this weird grinding noise in my foot. I had my ligaments torn 2 years ago, followed every exercise they advised me to do but haven't got rid of the grinding noise. I also been doing the exercises you recommend for sprained ankle and they have helped a lot with the pain, but the grinding still there. Thanks so much for your amazing work

This video helped aid my left soaring knee. Hope you have a video for a sore groin too, atleast how to lower the pain everytime i make some motions. Thank you
I had surgery for a meniscus tear and every time I squat down I get some popping and when theres weathere my knee can randomly feel like ruberbands rubbing on each other. Its not painful, but its super jarring. Might as well give this a try on my bum knee
I only have pop sound on one side of my leg when I climb down but it's not painful. Most of the time it is that same leg that felt tight, and needed more stretching on the back of my leg.
Hi doctor I am from India 🇮🇳 I am having same issue when I am running or walking suddenly I will getting pain I am unable walk properly and pain will be there for 3 to 4 days . Yesterday I have same issue I checked in RU-vid I seen your video and I tried same thing it worked with in a hour pain relief thank you so much for amazing video 🙏🙏
I don't know how you are grabbing a knee cap that is flat under the skin. Which direction is toward the camera? There was a camera angle change in the middle of "right now". Or why you are saying your range is limited on one leg.
Hi Doctor! Thank you for the video! What do you suggest doing with cracks and crumps all over the body? It started like 5 years ago and is getting worse steadily. Never had any noises before :( Now I can crack with my fingers, toes, neck, knees, ankles, shoulders, wrists, etc ... I even hear noises while I swallow or rub against hard surface with my sit bones
I am 27 years old and I have been experiencing this for a year. Especially when I squat and stand back again I hear cracks. Also, sometimes, when I bend my knees I hear some click like it is stuck, I bend and release couple times and then it relaxes. Nowadays I started doing squats and had pain when doing higher weights. I stopped and trying to strengthen/solve this problem. Does anyone have any advice or know any PT movements like this?
U such a darling 💓 💗 💖 I did!,it stopped ✋️ u have a good subscriber now..I couldn't even squat for 1 minutes coz the pain couldn't let me ,yet the sound of sugarcane was annoying!
I have some cracking/popping sounds in left knee here and there lately, when I walk no pain in that area only discomfort and tightness with slight pain in left side of thigh, stair climber feels good, better than treadmill. Would you recommend using the stair climber? Thanks! 😅🙏🏽
I’ve had it for 2 years and i hurt it from jogging and work because i work outside and push carts at my job. It makes clicking and i get a knee collapse sometimes and it hurts like if i run or if jump off a step stool and sometimes it happens from walking. I had surgery on my knee in 2017 (torn acl and meniscus)
Iam a runner for years. 2 days go my right knee started making a horrible grinding Rice krispies noise going upstairs. It's been 2 days now and the noise won't stop when I go up stairs. No pain at all but very audible. If I do what you did in the video will it quite down some? By the way iam 40
I just recently starting getting like a low thump noise but it’s very audible and it’s extremely concerning and annoying. Doesn’t hurt but I absolutely do not want this to continue
