A quick tutorial for fixing a fluid leak on a turbine style HVLP spray gun / paint gun for spray finishing and woodworking. Especially the Fuji flagship T series guns including the siphon style T70 and gravity feed T75G models. Thanks for your helpful video. I adjusted the packing nut, and that seems (at least for now) to have been the solution for the leaking. I did notice, however, that the nut is very easily moved (I could turn it just with my finger). Is that the way it is supposed to be? In the sometimes-hectic activity of spraying and putting the gun back in its holder, it seems the nut could easily get out of adjustment.

Good video! I'm having a problem with lacquer (thinned) not coming through the gun, but thinner alone does. Also, the cup lid liner came loose: is that broken or just gets pushed back in (which I did and it still didn't work Thanks!.

Most likely a clogged pressure tube and check valve. I'm assuming you have a T70 bottom feed gun. Start by replacing the pressure tube and making sure the gun is clean. Lid liner should be okay to push back in, as long as it forms a good seal. Good luck with it.

I have the T series gun with poly gravity cup. I get leaking from the top of the cup when I am spraying. Is this likely a blocked check valve tube or are the cup threads hosed? I have new pressure tubes ordered, but not here yet.

Hi John, if you can see that the leak is at the screw-on cap, then the threads likely have a buildup of finish on them. If it's the fitting on top of the cap, you're on the right track with replacing the pressure tubes and check valve. If all else fails, you'll have to replace the cup. Best of luck!

What's the solution for leaking around the top of the cup lid with the T75G SPRAY GUN?

Usually it's just some dried finish in the threads of the screw on lid. I use mostly lacquer, which only requires a quick rinsing with thinner after each use. Paint, poly and shellac require a little more work to clean the gun. Best of luck with it.
