Depersonalization is caused when the brain is overwhelmed and you become fuzzy headed as the brains way to protect itself from overwhelm. The accident and injury is causative enough to cause you episodes of depersonalization . Focusing on your food helped your brain get out of overwhelm and focus on your studies . Thus you now think that your glucose is the cause of your feeling better. The good thing that's come of this is that now you understand glucose monitoring and the health benefits of it . Thanks for shareing all this
I consume your podcast in audio format generally, but came here to say I really enjoyed this convo. Your show is great Gabrielle, and I am really enjoying the direction and guests lately. You are doing an amazing job and I appreciate all you are doing.
Me to, haha. This podcast came automatically in my Spotify feed after listening to Dr. Lyon's interview of Dr. Candel (?) on getting the most out of creatine - while I was cooking. Coincidentally, this interview w/ Dr. Jesse the Glucose Goddess came on just as I was sitting down to eat my veggies first!😅 When Jesse mentioned, in the podcast, that she was sleeveless bc she had been working out and wanted to show off her muscles... (haha, well no, they don't look like this 💪🙄 Since I wanted to see Jesse's muscles I decided to search for this in YT. And... here I am!😀
I love the GG! She’s refreshing and smart. Off topic but it’s so nice to see a woman who isn’t pumped full of filler and Botox, she’s just the cutest !
@@uyouhaveyou Well I've found the video, link attached ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GHZtMKJIokI.htmlsi=Gmar6Z6FowyM6rbX That said, I have since noted the timeline when this was posted, and that the Glucose goddess now features on his channel. It's still somewhat ambiguous, as breaking a fast, controlling insulin spikes and utilizing insulin spikes all have overlaps. Admittedly, both have provided the framework in other videos but not together.
Gets annoying when an intellignet person brings up astrology and thejr sign like it backs up their interests abd life choices and makes them unique. Its pseudo science at best and sortve delegitamizes the persons logic
I kind of doubted this was true - that eating veggies first (in a meat/veggie meal) - when I listened to Jessie' interview awhile back, on another channel. But, I decided to try it, and now I regularly do this with every meal. (Often, even cooking up my veggies & consuming them while my 'protein' portion of the meal is still cooking.)😉 I DO believe in this WOE (in a specific order) now. Not bc I wear a CGM and have the data to prove it - not yet, anyway - but I actually do feel better when I eat this way. I used to delve into my protein portions first, and then vegetables as kind of an afterthought. But, postprandial, I usually felt sleepy. But not now! I no longer get a postprandial drowsiness effect when I eat veggies first! I was not expecting this WOE to 'work' - and so was very surprised when it did appear to. Now, I realize this may be a placebo effect - and, to be sure, WHEN I do begin wearing a CGM I will know for sure.😊 I do expect to see the data that confirms how I well I feel with this method, when I do begin to track my glucose with a CGM. Thanks Dr. Jesse!😊
It's not placebo effect. Sweets and carbs for most people - including me - can be highly triggering. Jesse's way is brilliant at breaking binge cycles. It works like nothing else and levels off cravings. So I don't doubt the science.
Hello, I have a weird question does freezing lower or make glycemia higher? Like ice cream or frozen fruit. I love frozen yogurt, does it change something if it's frozen?
