Don't let your rattly spacebar keep you up at night. Hope this is what you were looking for Hope this is what you were looking for @icyxbogy7733 #shorts
I did the hollee mod and then pressed each stab for like 10 minutes so that the bandaid would break in. I also added a bit of medical tape on the plate to reduce wobble. You can later use a syringe to add more lube if needed. Hope someone finds this useful! (edit): Don't forget to balance the wire!!
I think you should long term - the stabs that it comes with are OK..i usually use them in my videos to represent the board, but they are not going to be as good as screw ins, or even clip ins like TX stabs. But you know, it's a matter of preference. Some people don't care about how their stabs sound :D
Absolutely! 205g0 used to be the go-to for stabs. Most people will dip it in krytox, but I'm kind of cheapstake, and it's cheaper to dip it in dielectric grease and come out with just about the same result. You can also go with a standard thin layer of 205g0 on the stabs, but you may still get some rattling. Good luck!
I do the holee mod when I absolutely have to, but I rather not cause half of the time I feel like it weighs down the stab and makes it sluggish. Might just be me though
they're budget caps from Temu, believe it or not. I got them here, but they're sold out www.temu.com/goods_snapshot.html?goods_id=601099514315258&title=Details&_x_sessn_id=51yu5715p2&refer_page_name=goods&refer_page_id=10032_1693330698424_cwbyf7qqmm&refer_page_sn=10032
My current keyboard isnt hotswap and i dont wanna desolder it, so im planning on getting some G lube (205g0 isnt really available where i live and anywhere i do find it its overpriced as hell) and attempting to lube the stabilizers by just lifting the stem and sticking my brush into the gap, for that should i use G lube or dielectric grease?
Can u please help me? I wanna see if my keyboard is defective. When i'm connected in bluetooth or 2.4hz if i turn down my pc it doesn't turn off the leds of the keyboard or even if it's unplugged it doesn't turn off. Yours do this also??
Sure it does bro. You can do two things: switch it to "USB", and if it's unplugged, it'll turn off. Or you can cycle through (FN + \ ) until the RGB is turned off.
I found it on AliExpress for around 50 bucks with free shipping. Someone said that they got it on sale for around 30 but I'll have to research where. Want me to track down the cheapest option for you?
Does it rebound up, even if slowly? If yes, you've overlubed the stabs, and will need to take a Q tip and a cloth to wipe off the lube. If the stabs don't move at all, the stem is misaligned inside of the stab, and can be fixed by taking it back out and swap it around so that the side with two holes (usually) is facing the front socket of the stabilizer housing for where the wire goes in.
haha I would say it's more on the "cheap and light" feel than the heavy, since it's mostly made of plastic. It's not going to have that "hefty" feel that you'd get from an aluminum keyboard, that's for sure!
i have it and it feels like high quality plastic but if ur looking for something that feels like u have a $1000 keyboard in hand this isn't for u but mine sounds really nice and creamy
It does have wonderful sound according, and the plastic does feel softer to the touch, but yeah, it's still pretty light and don't have that premium feel to it. I love mine though
@@keebtunes Really? That would not make sense to be honest. But thanks anyway, now I am aware of it,. I'm planning to buy a GMK67 barebone. It would be my first barebone, as I am more into pre-built. I hope you have full videos on modding things on GMK67 I would gladly use it as a guide because yeah I am a noob. Thanks!
yea..i think that price has been pretty consistent - the community adores it cause of its performance, but it's not cheaper. TBH, you can find budget sets from Akko that are just as good. like Akko CS Silver
See if something like this is your style: Dustsilver wired with gateron black switches for $97, or wireless for $129. Unaffiliated: dustsilver.com/products/dustsilver-blue-pink-milkshake-75-percent-kawaii-wireless-hot-swapping-mechanical-keyboard?variant=43930780991648
Believe it or not I actually got it off of temu, oem profiles and 1.4mm thick. They don't carry these exact ones anymore, but you can find some pretty nice caps on temu - try searching "cherry profile keycaps"
