I would use some grease, Slickoleum, on the suspension rod. Its air sprung so the sealing has to be a lot tighter than coil. Secondly, this is what I did to some cheap air shocks on my escooter that majorly improved action, remove the valve core and inject some suspension oil like Fox Gold or similar. Huge improvement in action, removed most stiction. The heat from friction on that suspension will destroy the seals. I don't know why China based suspension cheaps out on lube but they do.

Good vid Interesting, probably a cold solder connection. I seen that they put alot of silicon on the components of that board. That would make it hard to impossible to touch up the connections with a soldering iron. 38$ for Uber, how far? No friends or family to come get you 🤣 Cheers

That was an easier fix than I suspected. I just check. I am at 3900km. I have the exact squeak. Its coming from the pedal area. Turn the wheel on. Lean over it and put one hand on each end of the pedal. Apply pressure to each end of the pedal. Back an forth. This is where I heard the sqeak. Don't know if its hanger or shaft wear. You have different pedals so I now know its not the pedals. I sprayed white lithuim on my pedal shaft and the noise dissappeared for two rides. I also have the play in saddle/craddle. Not as much as you do but I did change my slide spacers about 1000k ago(Ewheels has them). The v11 has 4 spacers on the aluminum slide. When I change my tire i will add 2 more toward the top where I think they're most needed. That should add little more rigidity. I have ridden in a few heavy rain showers and I have had no issue with the power button. However, your tape idea is a good idea but cut the tape in an oval/circle shape next time and it will look close to stock. I have some 3m clear tape. Im thinking of doing it. I doesn't hurt the looks and provides some peace of mind. Also, I just had a firmware update. Did you get it?
@jonoeuc
@jonoeuc Год назад
Oh nice, I would like some of those new sliders. I thought that the spacers had specific spots they fit, how can you add more?! Hmm my foot plates are difficult to squeak by hand. Last time I used light silicone spray to lubricate the pin, i'll redo it with some heavier grease. Yeah the 1.4.15 firmware went on yesterday. It was a bit odd on the app saying "Null' and then checking versions again and said it was already the latest version. seems to have updated the wheel though since the wheel beeped and rebooted.

I had V8F, after 560 km motor broke and also damaged controller. 600USD cost for the motor, another 200 USD for controller repairs. I also have Begode Tesla T3, zero problems after 4100km. I love simple Begode wheels. In general I really like non suspension wheels. Almost no maintenance needed :).
@jonoeuc
@jonoeuc Год назад
Some of Wrong way's videos promised me how simple wheels were meant to be. then i got the damn suspension v11! yeah that's definitely an appeal of non suspension - far simpler and lower maintenance. That is my hope with the Sherman S, lower maintenance on the suspension. Wow that is some poor performance from the V8F, warrenty didn't cover it? Almost be able to buy another new wheel for those repair costs x.x

@@jonoeuc It is mystery to me what happened. In my opinion the bearing got stuck and the motor twisted the axle by itself. This happened when I was walking next to the wheel by using troley handle. The damaged motor cable then blow up the controller. It was incredibly unlucky and my seller did not believe me. It looks like i jumped the wheel. Other than that V8F is very simple, changing the tire is a joy, so simple :-).

Buy from a reputable vendor and get a warranty next time. Suspension is the real deal and most wheels will have it going forward.

V11 owner here too… That squeak is the suspension sliders rubbing up and down the plastic… I cut up 3m felt pads (designed for gluing underneath stool and table feet) and stuck them next to the plastic sliders… then applied sewing machine oil to the felt and the squeak went away plus makes for great lube! It was a rather snug fit to slide the thing back on but makes for very nice quiet and smooth motion…
@Blakeusblades
@Blakeusblades Год назад
If you try it, make sure you stick the felt to same plane as the plastic as it will wedge in between the black plate and the aluminium… when u add the oil it makes a very snug fit which you should wobble gently and slowly lower down…

@@Blakeusblades "slidders up and down the plasic"? What do you mean by plastic? The saddle part that slides over the alluminum slide rail?

My headlight is impossible to pop out. You make it look effortless the way you just take it out but I have it stripped down to replace the inner shell and I’m considering taking a hammer to the headlight bumper. Was there a trick for you?
@jonoeuc
@jonoeuc 7 месяцев назад
The only trick are the locating pins / slots that you must pop out at 2:55 in the video. They're clipped in so a sharp force to unclip them is needed thus my hand taps. Hopefully that's all that yours needs?

So my head light on my V11 stopped working and they sent me a new one. I was going to send my V11 back and have the shop do the replacement. However it seems like it’s very simple. Should I just do it myself or let the company do it? Great video mate.
@jonoeuc
@jonoeuc Год назад
If you have the allen keys and can see what I did then go for it! it's straight forward(unless you've siliconed your case shut like me 😅) Plus less downtime if you do it yourself. Good luck!

@@jonoeuc well I did the replacement and still no light 😞. I guess there’s an internal problem and shipping it back is my only choice. However taking the light assembly off and putting the new one on was just like you said. Thank you for your help and video.

it does have very good stock water proofing. I always air on the side of caution since the risks of water caused damage is so high.

Thanks for sharing your very professional video and congrats on taking your little buddy for a ride. I'm here in the States and am a retired military pilot and your professional disassembly was so very much like the aircraft mechanics and I can see where you will have continued success. Best of luck!

Hey Jon, I'm a proud new owner of a Kingsong 16xs, it's my first EUC, and I found your videos thanks to a lot of research in EUCs and the youtube algorithm. More people should do in-depth videos like these, it really helps new owners or people interested in getting EUCs for their first time, so cheers! I'm glad you were able to resolve your V11 issues mostly pain-free! (except for the 1-week withdrawal) I'm wondering, how tall are you? Watching you relaxed while seated riding your EUC has spiked my interest, but I think the 16x is a bit too short for me to do this. My legs get very uncomfortable due to the short distance from the pedals, which are pretty high from the ground.
@jonoeuc
@jonoeuc Год назад
Hi Alvaro, Grats on the new wheel! I hear it is built to last. I'm 180cm // 6ft tall. EUC Wheeler rides his 16x seated - here's an example ru-vid.comcNXy6vg4Uco Many riders add additional height to their seats if it causes too much discomfort. You can expect new pains when learning. Cheers Jono

Great vid, thanks! My suspension also squeaked at some point, and I managed to fix that by lubricating the suspension rails with WD40. No disassembly required for that, as it’s exposed already. The fact that the suspension rails are exposed moving parts probably means I’ll have to lubricate them every now and then, as the rain washes away the lubricant over time. I posted a picture on my channel, as I can’t post pictures here.
@jonoeuc
@jonoeuc Год назад
Hey Dennis, YES! ah what a process but I've isolated it to the sliders too. eliminating the pistons and foot plates. I stripped down the sliders and removed / cleaned the slider block spacers. As you said, I lubricated the rails with a silicone spray (test). Then felt it was the wrong type so went with PTFE as everyone suggests, but it wore off within one ride doh. May just need new slider blocks like here: www.ewheels.com/product/im-v11-slider-block-spacer-set-screws/ Ewheels don't ship to Aus so i'll check with my shop too. I'll post about it if I find a more permanent solution. Thanks for the pic, interesting to see the wear pattern is exactly the same on the black paint. ta, jono
@GoG6138
@GoG6138 Год назад
Regular WD40 is a horrible lubricant that will attract dust and dirt and cause more harm than good over time. You need a dry lube with PTFE (WD40 also makes a PTFE dry lube version - Google it).
