Thank you for watching. This blower was not used for a very long time. Now it won't start. Lets take a good look at it and find out whats wrong and then fix all the problems. We don't even know if its worth fixing yet. If you find this video helpful leave a comment or hopefully it helps you get further along on your repairs.

Definitely work fixing. I have the older red Craftsman model as Grayson mentioned his dad had, And as Grayson mentioned, this is very nostalgic for me because it was one of the last things my mother gave me as a gift before she passed away. I am right in the process of replacing the fuel lines after just repairing a Poulan chainsaw with the same rotted fuel lines. I was initially thrown because it's less complex than the chain saw carb and lines, so this really helped. I still have the vacuum attachments and mulching blades for mine and that dual function ability seems to be an extra reason to repair this type of blower/vac since the engine seemed to be in good shape. Mine really blows with high velocity, too.

The design of these older Poulan/Weedeater/Craftsman blowers are quite nostalgic for me despite their cheapness. My dad used to have the older version of this that had a different style carburetor & different choke and throttle setup, and although it was a pain to start, once it got started, it would get the job done.

Just seen this and enjoyed this video. These blowers were the last of the sears / roebuck generation. A keeper for sure and if it still has its original spark plug use a 3/4 deep standard 3/8th's ratchet. during the time these blowers were new the hi low screws changed over to splines so Keep the classics alive and WELL everyone and if you dont want em put em on markeplace. Always on markeplace 😎

Had JUST rebuilt the fuel lines on a VERY similar model to this when I ran across this vid. Special edition==gray? Worth fixing? HECK YEAH! I had the worst time with the stupid spring. 5 or 6 tries to get it right. The rest was easy even after sitting disassembled in a box for a year. The Zama C1Q W11D carb was easy to take apart and clean up. Lines were simple to run. Mine is all black like the exhaust cover on this one. 358.797180 Bag/suction I always thought stank due to the long/rigid stems on my leaves perhaps? Constant clogs when it was new. But the bulky blower is over 20+ years old and not scored up, or busted yet and runs like a beast without having to tune it.

Was it worth fixing? I would have to say yes for a couple of reasons. Number one when you had the muffler removed you can see the piston and ring in great condition as well as the walls, very minimal use on that engine, therefore it has lots of life and use left. Secondly ,aside from some time spent ,it cost you literally a dollar or 2 in fuel lines to fix. A good score wouldn't you say? Love your vids keep em coming!!
