The lube is thin and desoves crud. It's more of a flush. I just got the ingredients in this past week for the actual lube. It's still mineral oil but is thicker than the flush and stays put better. I just used it last night for the first time. Sometime in the next couple of weeks I am going to male a complete cleaning and lubrication video.

So far I really like this one. It feels good on the stones and I get the feeling that it is going to hold a better edge than a Case.

I have had this knife in my pocket just about every day since I made the video. Forget the low price, it's good!

Carbon steel is tough to straighten. It has a 50/50 chance of straightening or snapping!

I just got the ingredients for the thicker lube. Now I have the thin pivot flush and a heavy lube. The next step after that is to use some of the leather conditioner on the flat surfaces. It stays put better than any oil.

I am very happy with this one! The only problem that you run into once in a while is an off center blade that causes a problem. The sane thing happens with Case Knives which are several times the price!

Thanks! I have been enjoying the Stockman. We'll see in time how the edge holds up but the way it acted during sharpening I wouldn't be surprised if it holds a better edge than Case's carbon steel.

@LastChanceKnives I seen a video comparing the Case CS steel to T10 and they were pretty much the same. I don't remember who's video it was, could have been Pete at Cedric and Ada.

Thanks for the info! I'll take a look at Cedric and Ada. I know a while ago he compared Case's Trusharp and carbon. The difference turned out to be rather small.@@factorsofjack

I have been looking for a carbon steel Stockman in yellow delrin for a while. I expected to end up with a Case, but jumped on this one when I saw it! Great knife and only around 15 bucks! Hard to pass that up even if the knife needs a little adjustment.

This particular knife is a gem! I bought a second one as a backup and it is not nearly as good.

This knife doesn't have any gaps. On the other hand I have gotten a few Case knives that have gaps in the back springs big enough to drive a truck through. I have had to send many Case knives back because of serious problems. The bottom line is both companies produce knives that are right and knives that are bad with Case being a little ahead of RR. That said I bought 3 of these knives for $12 and 2 of them are great 1 is not, but there is nothing wrong with it's function and it will serve well as a work knife. 3 knives for $36 versus about $180 from Case! For a working knife that is going to get used and used up RR has Case beat.
