Fixing an aluminum water pump housing 

During the winter the housing saw temps cooler than expected ... @thebarngineer brought me this pump housing to fix.... I used @usaweld invertig 221 and @rockmountwelding Neptune filler and produced a repair that buy now has been successfully inservice for well over a year ... this is how log it takes sometimes to get a video edited unfortunately ....usaweld.com/collections/htp-america-tig-welders/products/sale-invertig-221-ac-dc-single-voltage-220v-air-cooled

I remember trying to weld Aluminum in high school and hating it.

Good job! Old, broken junk sometimes brings good money. It is good to plug voltfram electrodes by clamping them into a drill.

I'm wanting to learn welding. What's the best way to determine feed rate, what rod and all the other variables. And what's the best kinda welding to get my feet wet? I've done a very little bit of mig welding I belive. But my shop instructor did all the setting on gas and what not
