@legomagic007 It may be partially due to the writers not constructing the best story but… Under current times, the writers are given all these new restrictions and limitations during their writing, they do not deserve all the blame.
@@legomagic007_YTyou're right they ripped all our expectations at first in pokémon xyz last episode and through the whole series they made us see many Amourshipping moments and at last the kiss but in pokémon ultimate journeys ASH and Serena met for less than 2 min and no any major interactions man at first they increased expectations and then they all changed all our expectations into dust, the writers literally finished the last series😢..
I really like how Gary asks Ash about being a Pokémon Master in the FIRST episode instead of it being the LAST episode. While just going on a journey just to travel is alright, travelling for a purpose does help the story flow better and makes it feel less like the characters are just going wherever the heck they’re going. I totally agree with you on how the travelling we saw in the final episodes is more of the same thing, and I feel like for Ash Ketchum’s final season, it shouldn’t be just that.
My favourite part about this whole rewrite is how open-ended everything is: Max’s own Journey, Cilan possibly going beyond an S-Class Connoisseur, May, Dawn, and Serena working toward their goals, Ash and Serena’s relationship and if they’ll be together or not, Iris realizing she’s not falling behind, Greninja might STILL not be done with those stupid vines, and what the Team Rocket trio will do now that they’re done with the organization. These characters stories end with a sense of ambiguity. It doesn’t give a definitive ending to these characters, but it allows us as the audience to come to our own conclusion on everything. I do have some nitpicks(I wish Greninja rejoined Ash as in fully recaught, I would’ve kept Ash reuniting with Pidgeot, and I wish Dawn and Serena met and interacted slightly), but I am satisfied with what we got. Best Wishes, Ash Ketchum.
@@Zanolith I see. I honestly don’t blame you given Pidgeot not being the most memorable character in the OS. I’m just gonna pretend that it still happened regardless. It’s interesting to think about how Pidgeot’s reunion went with Charizard given the fact he was very disobedient the last time he saw him.
Man I would do anything for something like this to have happened in the show. My rewrite of MPM is surprisingly similar to this, we had a lot of similar ideas! Great minds think alike! It's such a shame that none of it actually happened in the show 😭 Awesome video, awesome ideas, and awesome presentation! I'm happy this video got a lot of attention, because it really deserves it! 👊
To be honest, guys, I hope Ash will NOT return in Pokemon Horizons, neither as a kid nor as an adult. Why? Because I think the guy had enough screentime already, and because I think it's time for him to settle down. That's why I was actually dissapointed of the final episode of the series ,,The Rainbow and the Pokémon Master!'' because technically it WASN'T a final. He just set of on a new journey, which was a pretty unsatisfying finish to Ash's arc. Ash didn't stopped travelling, Team Rocket didn't got defeated for good, no things I would have expected from an ending were featured. Ash traveled for so long and left an unmissible mark in Pokemon History. So I say it's time for him to retire from traveling and lead a farely normal life. That's why I wrote my own finish story, which not only sees Ash retiring from traveling for good, but also solves one of the biggest mysteries surrounding Ash. You want to know it? Here it is: Not long after Ash and Pikachu left Pallet Town after the final episode, they stop at a Pokemon Center. Among those present is a man seated at a table, staring out the window over a hot drink. After Ash entered the center, the man gave him a quick look and then seemed quite shocked. Not long after Ash left the Pokemon Center, he was ambushed by Team Rocket. When it looked like they might be able to escape with Pikachu, the man in the center intervened with a shiftry and Team Rocket blasted off. After Ash thanked the stranger, he asked his name. The man reluctantly replied that his name was Mark Ketchum. Ash reacts with shock. The man notices this and pulls a photo out of his pocket. It shows himself and Delia Ketchum, Ash's mother, happily in each other's arms. When Ash was about to cry out, Mark stopped him and said he would explain everything to him, but in a different place. Back at the Pokemon Center, the man confirms that he is Ash's father. Ash is still confused and burning with questions. Mark begins to explain: Like Ash after him, he went on a Pokemon journey before Ash was born. It didn't go well for him for a long time though. Still, he refused to give up. He was just as enthusiastic and stubborn as Ash. But that all changed when Delia told him she was pregnant. Mark hesitated for a long time about what to do, continue his journey, or return home. Finally, he explained to Delia that he would return as soon as possible. At that point, he still believed those words himself. But as with Ash, one journey followed another, and then another, and another, and so on. And so the weeks became months and the months became years. When Mark found out that Ash had traveled himself, it was a shock for him because it was only at that moment that he realized how much time had passed. He realized he had suffered the worst punishment a father could have suffered: not being there for his son, not seeing his own child grow up. But he was also reluctant to return to Pallet Town, thinking that Delia despised him for not keeping his promise, that she wanted nothing more to do with him, and that she would refuse him to see his son. So he traveled on. From then on, not a day went by that he didn't wish he could return to Pallet Town to finally see his son. And with each of Ash's fights he watched on TV, his sadness, guilt, and longing grew. He had hoped that he would meet Ash on his journey, but somehow they always missed each other. A while ago, when Mark saw Ash's victory at the Coronation World Championship, he realized that his son had made the dream come true that he had been chasing for years. From then on, Ash's father didn't care. He didn't care about the title of Pokemon Master, he didn't care how Delia would react to him, he just wanted to be back with his family. He told Ash that he didn't want to be a Pokemon Master anymore, he wanted to be a father, he wanted to have a son, a family that he could love and who loved him. He also said that he would have traded a thousand Pokemon-Master-Titles for every single day he could have spent with his son. He was almost to Pallet Town when he saw Ash in the Pokemon Center. Since he had followed all his fights, he recognized him immediately. And now they are sitting here. As he spoke, Mark Ketchum cried. Ash couldn't hold back his tears either. When Mark asks Ash if he could ever forgive him for not being with him for the first ten years of his life, he hugs his father and immediately forgives him. Afterwards, Ash is on his way back to Pallet Town with his father. Touched by his father's story, Ash realizes that he already left his mark on Pokemon history and that he's retiring from traveling to devote more time to his family, which he's neglected for far too long. Delia was surprised to see Ash back so early since he had only just left. But when she saw who he had brought, she dropped the plate she was holding in her shock. For a while Mr. and Mrs. Ketchum just stared at each other. But then Delia fell into Mark's arms in tears and cried with joy. After she calmed down a bit, Mark said that he and Ash would stay in Pallet Town as they had a lot of catching up to do. This story solves many of the logic gaps in Pokemon: For example, even if Delia is acting encouraging of Ash's journey, I can't imagine, she is not depressed of how little time the two of them have to spend together since he started his journey. I know my mom would get a nervous breakdown. Besides, if you travel around your whole life, you miss time you could and should have spend with your beloved ones and not return to find out they all passed away. I know this would be a pretty dramatic and bitter thing, which could be the reason why the characters do not appear to age throughout the series, but from a realistic point of view, being on a Pokemon journey your whole life is not a realistic or good thing. As for Ash's father, even if he wasn't mentioned in the anime that often, I can't imagine Ash never wandered where he was or why he didn't met him. And I also can't imagine that Ash's father never had any pangs of conscience for not being their for his son. I mean, what kind of father would he be if he hadn't? Not a good one, that's for sure. And I wanted Ash to realize not doing the same thing. That he, if he will have children of his own one day, he will be there for them and see them grow up, like a good father. So this is my personal end for the Pokemon Anime. Tell me your opinion about it if you like, I would be very interested in it. Until the next video! See ya!
Probably?! It is! The majority of those final 11 episodes felt like nothing but useless filler. Gave us no real closure on anything that this series built up over the past 25-26 years.
that...was...AMAZING!! I LOVE HOW GARY AND ASH INTERACT AT THE BEGINNING you took the words out of my mouth before i even thought of something like this! This is what the final series should have been more like - it wasn't bad, but it focuses more on the question of what it means to be a master I love how everyone gets closure
I have 1 thing to say about this video: That Was The BEST Rewrite EVER of all time like no other rewrite ever was Sorry had to throw in that last part it was too Tempting 😂
Overall I enjoyed it just think their should be some small changes to make it even better. At the end credit Giovanni is recruiting allies to help take over the Region with each one taking a region. With them and the grunts wearing a modified outfit but in black with R with it. Making the anime version of Rainbow Rocket alongside making Team Rocket Strike Back a 4 parts. With the first episode being the surprise attack of villains. the second being the champions struggling the villains. The 3rd having Ash past rivals that we didn't meet during assisting the champions to defeat the villain, with the 4th part beating the villains and saving the day. I wanted it a 4 parts to have a better pace and have some dialogue between the characters. Doesn't need to show the full fight of the other champions, just show that they are having difficulty, then getting the assistance to defeat the villain. Kanto- Giovanni vs Ash, Jessie, James and Moewth Johto- Dr. Namba vs Lance, Ritchie and Drake (Orange Island) Hoenn - Maxie and Archie vs Steven, Wallace, Harrison and Tyson Sinnoh - Mars, Jupiter and Saturn vs Cynthia, Paul and Tobias Unova - Ghetsis Vs Iris, Trip, and Virgil Kalos - Lysandre vs Diantha, Sawyer, and Tierno Alola - Viren, vs Kukui, Guzma, and Hau Galar - Chairman Rose vs Leon, Bea, and Rinto
Chills 😭😭😭😭 This is PERFECT! Having Misty and Brock travel to all the regions with Ash. Cameos/tying up any lose ends from characters we’ve met in other regions. Having Giovanni and MewTwo be the final big bad. Kanto Elite Four. Jessie and James turning against Team Rocket. Showcasing and spotlighting the relationship arc of Ash and Gary. Mount Silver and Ho Oh Ash FINALLY standing as Champion on Indigo Plateau. The Pokémon Company needs to buy the rights to this and remake Ash’s final story.
Not true. Ash is not coming back. There won't be an movie like that. But I created an Ash and Misty in the Paldea Region as them as boyfriend and girlfriend with just the 2 of them. I can't post the picture though. But they wear new outfits there. So they'll be an cute couple like them and not Serena. Ash and Misty are the couple not Ash and Serena, it's too late. It's on deviantart. Also I'm making an story about it. It's so romantic. Ash and Misty will be going to the Paldea Region just the 2 of them on a date as they holds hands, make out, hug each other, make other blush and Ash does cute and romantic things for Misty. That's an comeback for Ash but with just bringing Misty.
BRO! Zano! You continue to amaze me with the rewrite content! I like the addition of another Ep here and this was honestly better than what we got. I found it really odd that Cilan was the only companion to return in MPM, and I thought more woulda shown up. But the world journey you made here with all of Ash’s companions is truly a masterful ending for Ash! Well done!
Zano, you single handedly create a better, more cohesive and entertaining ending for our boy and now man, Ash Ketchum. This was amazing, peak fiction if you will. I can't wait to see what else you come up with and I hope this video BLOWS UP because more needs to see this!
I say this after every rewrite episode and unfortunately it stands here too. A random poketuber can do better than an entire team of writers can do whose job is to write stories for anime. It’s almost like the writers should quit and let the community take over.
Of course, Ash and Serena are a perfect couple and I hope they both reunite once again, understand each other's feelings and in the future get married and have a family. #Amourshipping4ever
@@maxtopia5733sorry but you're have to watch for the announcement on October 15th. I told Pokefan. I told him to do an Ash and Misty in the Paldea Region as boyfriend and girlfriend just the 2 of them traveling on an date. So he like my idea. So he thumbed up my idea and gave me hearts with his picture profile. Just have to wait and see on the October 15th announcement. It's going to be so romantic and cute. They'll be holding hands, making out, make each other blush, cuddle, Ash doing cute and romantic things for Misty and they hug. Ash and Misty will wear new outfits to the Paldea Region. It'll be an cute and romantic series with Ash and Misty. I can't wait for this moment. 😘❤💘
@@andrewcroken7072 Sorry, man, but you're completely mistaken. Amourshipping is canon, while Pokeshipping is non canon because there's no romantic relationship between Ash and Misty and the Pokémon company already confirmed that Ash's future lies with Serena, not Misty. What I'm saying is the truth, not a joke.
@@maxtopia5733 Amourshipping is canon, while Pokeshipping is non canon because there's no romantic relationship between Ash and Misty and the Pokémon company already confirmed that Ash's future lies with Serena, not Misty.
I got chills from this. Thank you. That answer of what a Pokemon Master was perfect. Gives credit to all that came before. I'm glad you left some things ambiguous like with the shipping stuff, but I wish you expanded on some of the meetings like detail Ash's training with May and Max, or meeting Mewtwo again. That dialogue with Team Rocket really got to me. Small thing, I think it would've been awesome if Gary had a Rainbow Wing that led them to the top of Mt Silver.
This is literally all I would have wished for aim to be a pokemon master but it was none of it and quite frankly Gave no justice to ashy boy, but especially to all of his companions who he met along the way.. I wish they could have hired you to write this final chapter of ash's journey 😞
Perfect..perfect..perfect...this is exactly what I wanted to see in the end of Ash's journey..return of every Ash pokemon and his friends alongiwth the story that makes him realize what it really means to be a Pokemon Master...
I gotta compliment you for how good you are at this But If a youtuber can come up with an ACTUALLY good 12 ep series like this, which would have ended on March 31 Then why can't they They are skilled writers, who have been doing this for quite some time Yes,this isn't one piece or attack on Titan BUT this is still one of the most popular series, why can't it be good This is the end of 26 years of journey, but what did they end it off with, 9 episodes of filler and some bait to thinking that ash will finally catch a legend and then end it off with saying that this isn't actually Ash's ending I just don't think that's good enough tbh,Pokemon was once my favourite anime,i just hoped it had a better ending
Two things I would like is team rocket saying something like we're blasting off one last time and also them not knowing ash's name cause they always call him twerp
I’m pretty sure they’ve heard his name too many times to just not know it. I do agree with you on the “we’re blasting off one last time” though. Just for old times sake.
Maybe my expectations were two high but when you’re a series that spans over a quarter of a century, I felt I was justified. This ending lives up to that expectation. (Though what if instead of Gary at the mountain it was Ash’s dad making his first appearance in 26 years of waiting XD)
I honestly think there are a couple of things that should have given him a proper send-off. 1. Make him a strong trainer who is difficult for other trainers to face him in battle, and continue training his Pokémon and evolving them like his Gible. 2. Get rid of Team Rocket. The Team Rocket Trio has been following Ash for years. You would think he is sick and tired of them chasing after him so they can capture his Pikachu, which there is nothing rare about him other than being trained. After all, Ash and his friends have destroyed every known evil organization in the franchise. So, why don't the writers get rid of Team Rocket? You would think if Team Rocket is gone, then the trio would stop following Ash. 3. Reunite with some of the Pokémon he released, like Greninja and Goodra, so they can rejoin him on his journey like his Pidgeot and capture some legendary Pokémon like Latios and Latias on his team. I mean, there are so many legendary Pokémon Ash has met on his journey that can be perfect to be a part of his team. If someone as horrible as Goh should have a legendary Pokémon in his collection. Then why can't Ash? 4. Ash should do something else in his life. He could be an Aura Guardian. After all, Ash now has a Lucario of his own, who is like a spiritual successor to Sir Aaron Lucario and that aura sphere Riolu. Not to mention, he is one of the only few people who can use Aura. Ash could also be a Pokémon Ranger. I mean, he loves rescuing Pokémon and always helping to protect nature, so this could be a perfect job for him. He could be a Battle Frontier. I mean, he was offered to become a Frontier Brain. 5. Marrying Serena or any other girls he had a relationship with. Another example of being a proper send-off is settling down with someone, and he could have his own family.
Because after 11 episodes from ash and misty there's nothing happening about saying having feelings each other but they really didn't look at ash and serena in Japan 105 they both really happy see each other again there more to say this but I save it when opening end decides making ash and serena as endgame.
idk if its because im childish but ive been alive as long as pokemon has been and once i turned 3 all i did was watch pokemon from the good and the bad and i still am disappointed ash never caught a single legendary that is recognized ( i dont counter melmetal no one knows what it is and pokemon refuses to give us more information on it) i feel like aim to be a master could of been better if it followed ur lay out of going region to region meeting old friends and closing plots but i still like how the original started with ash meeting latias and say team rocket was capturing legendaries 1 by 1 and it lead to latias and in the end ash frees them and he catches latias or maybe even latios i would feel it would be a great ending i kinda wanna take a shot with writing my version but Zanolith ur version was amazing keep up the work and hope to keep watching ur zanoverse series
Near FLAWLESS rewrite. Far better than what we Actually got in MPM Only things I’d change, are having Greninja complete its mission in the fight with Alain, and going back with Ash(same way Pidgeot would in the actual show), throw in a little throwaway line about Nebby being caught at the party in Alola(adds the Kalos ace, and Ash’s first legendary to the fight with Giovanni. Yeah I know Nebby isn’t an Ace, but I feel that Nebby’s inclusion would be more climactic. Plus, there are still debates on whether Incineroar or Lycanroc are the Alola Ace), and Ash’s realization about what a Pokémon Master is, to correlate it with Leon’s episode, and the climax with Giovanni. Here’s a little thing I wrote of what I had in mind “As Ash gazed into the near infinite horizon Mt. Silver had on display, he spoke to Gary, with a rather heartfelt tone to his voice. “I was never journeying to become a Pokémon Master. I was journeying to become More of a Pokémon Master. I’ve made so many friends on my journey, and it’s because of them that I became World Champion” he said before turning to Gary, who felt rather stunned at how profound his old rival’s words were. “That Giovanni guy, he was too focused on pure strength to accomplish anything. Real strength comes from the bonds you form” Ash continued, redirecting his gaze to the Pokémon that’s been sitting on his shoulder since the very beginning. Pikachu was living proof of Ash’s ideology, managing to defeat the World Champion, and the World’s most Powerful Pokemon without even evolving. “And I wanna get stronger and stronger, and make more friends along the way. I want to be someone that can give the opportunity to be champions, to Every Pokemon in the world, regardless of how strong or weak they are. That’s what I believe a Pokémon Master is” the boy finished, putting his fist to his heart. Gary could do nothing but nod softly, and smirk. “You did good kid, you did good” he said with a smug tone to his voice. “Hey, I’m no kid anymore” Ash replied playfully, revealing a Pokeball in his hands, accepting Gary’s challenge for a rematch”
This was WAY better than what we actually got as the epilouge 4 Ash. This 1 had a much better closure. This just goes to show that sometimes fanfics are better. 10/10
Great fanfic! 😃 The old friends returning and how they're doing, The big climactic battle against TR, Jessie James and Meowth reforming, Ash realizing he achieved his goal all along, an older Ash taking on a new challenger. Luv it 😊
I have bot watch Pokémon since Hoen times just started watching it again because of the final 10 episodes and I started watching Pokémon journeys after but dammm the way you set up the ending episodes is way better than what I watched from Pokémon it self! You got a new sub my bro!!! Hope you become a writer for Pokémon one day because you make sick stories! 💯
I feel like Shopro realized they couldn't please everyone with Ash's final episode and deliberately left it the way they did so we could have discussions like this.
End of ash Ketchum was very sad .We always with him when his journey begins to end . Saying goodbye to him not easy but he always with us . We never ever forget him. Goodbye ash Ketchum
I should bring up that the director did say months back that he does plan to bring Ash back someday. How and when we don’t know maybe as a recurring guest character, maybe not, but we'll just have to wait and see. All we know is that he will still 10 years old. Also I have a feeling that the ending was meant to a reunion of the trio that started it all and it's ending shows that even if we don't see it the adventures will continue. That's what I think they were going with it.
I would love to add some evolutions to his Pokemon like gible and reuniting all his alola Pokemon and greninja permanently and A balltle with his strongest Pokemon for once
I like how you decide to stay true to one of the anime director words that when the Anime ends with Ash finally becoming a Pokémon Master. It's so bizarre Ash's story ends with him not becoming a Pokémon Master.
Another question, why the hell did only Misty, Brock, and Cilan reunite with Ash? You’d think all his companions would at least plan a surprise party together.
@@carlosmedina1281 May is the only one I understand why, but I feel like regardless, I’m pretty sure everyone who travelled with Ash would want to give their congratulations on him becoming the world champion. In May’s case, maybe they could’ve had her in the episode, but say something like “May has a bit of a sore throat” to justify why she rarely talks.
@@guspeixoto7740 it could also be cost? Like Dawn appeared a lot due to promoting the sinnoh remakes and Arceus and she probably was cheaper is my guess
This is brilliant... having Jessie and James finally stand up to Giovanni and admit to preferring to be friends with Ash, and having Ash stand on Mt. Silver, having a full circle moment with Ho-Oh. I would just tweak the ending slightly to have Ash standing alone at Mt. Silver until a trainer steps up to challenge him, perfectly reflecting that iconic moment with Red since Ash was his counterpart. The trainer can be whoever, but it'd be kinda clever if the trainer was Jimmy, Ethan's anime counterpart.
Looking back there were few major problems with oraginal Pokemon anime. Ash losing in pokemon regional leagues during the generation 1-6, keeping the Team Rocket organization intact, lack of game story adaptation in generation 5 anime Black/White, not adapteing certain elements form games, and not giving any proper character development for certain characters (team rocket gang that wants to capture pikachu). Now I did watch the new Pokemon Horizons and they really did make a fantastic introduction for a brand new pokemon anime with the first 2 episodes. Ps. I would like to see Ash traveling to Mt Silver, or battling with his Gengar against the trainer that has Nidorino (this is the very first into to the first Pokemon Generation 1 games).
I'll give you this you did a bang-up job, even all meant as a person who grew up watching Pokemon since the first episode you did a better job then them, though I don't like how you handled the Team Rocket Trio but I guess it's just my bias because I really hate that team since the beginning of Hoenn.
Idk how many people will see this but if xyz is your favorite season then there’s a video called “ash Ketchum’s end” or something like that it’s an hour long. It Brought a tear to my eye.
@@Zanolith I get that but I still think people should check it out as it gives a good closure of the xyz series as well as ash as a whole. And no I’m not being paid to advertise them.
Honestly the main problem I had is that the entire point of the aim to be series is Ash figuring out that he isn't a pokemon master yet. But that question comes at THE LAST EPISODE. Main change I would have made is placing Ash and Gary's interaction at the start rather than mid way through the very last episode. Since Ash's realization of what his dream is came far too quickly.
Great work, though in the final episode, I would have really really REALLY wanted Incineroar to be the final Pokemon Ash uses in his final battle. Then, we'd all finally see how strong Incineroar is, and it would prove its superiority to the league-winning Lycanroc. But apart from that, Pokemon: Aim To Be A Pokemon Master would have been cooler it was like that
In all honesty, while Aim to Be Mid had its moments, this was honestly the ATBAPM I wanted and I question the crew for their writing decisions. It's honestly the format I would use if I made my own version of my journey in the Pokemon anime. Also, it should be noted that May's Japanese VA retired due to medical problems regarding her voice, so I believe the crew thought she was irreplaceable and it could be the reason why she (and Max) didn't get a major role for an episode. Same thing for Max's English dub actor, but no problems with her voice, who also retired in 2017.
This last miniseries should have been better but the finale (the last episode) was a good one imo.. Pokèmon Master was never meant to be a proper and real dream, the writers even said that in a few interwiews but we ignored their words. Pokèmon Master is a never ending dream Ash made up himself used as a motivation for him to keep travelling for eternity and never ever stop what he loves the most, being on a journey and never stop reaching new heights, no matter the achievements he makes. Ash will always find something to renew his dream of becoming a "Pokèmon Master". With this metaforical dream on his mind Ash won't ever stop and i actually love that.
This was great. I look forward to seeing an animated story. I think you have great writing ability and really enjoyed each episode. I think you could animate this with help from another RU-vidr
That was a great rewrite! My only complaint is that Chloe isn't mentioned or appeared in this video. I know she isn't considered a companion of Ash, but some of the fans consider her as one of Ash's friends and I want to know how she's doing now.
