Fixing Banned Yugioh Cards! 

Norden was actually summoned "properly" at one point.........by Zoodiac. When Zoodiac was still dominating the meta, they incorporated Fusion Substitute into their combos and used it to fuse two of their Xyz into Norden to extend their plays.

Pretty much what makes these cards broken is how generic they are. Like how Spright Elf is busted because he works outside of spright

I like the idea of fixing ariseheart. Didn’t know if it would be possible. So many banned cards could honestly be unbanned by simply restricting it to its own archetype instead of being too generic. Looking at link monsters mostly.

Lock you into synchro summons, oh look i just fixed halq and level eater.

I still hate them for the Chaos Dragon errata. Wished they just left it alone instead of making a joke out of this iconic card.

if the mecha phantom beast link summon conditions were 3 mecha phantom beast monsters then it wouldnt be on the banlist to begin with

Crystrons are a deck that Synchro Summons During Main or Battle Phase....So taking that off Halq makes him unusable in his own deck

I think the fact that there are so many link2s that special something but almost never have to summon to their zone is just criminal. Konami simply decided that the link arrows dont matter in these cases.

Grinder Golem. Just add this: if summoned this way, this card cannot declare an attack, can only be destroyed by battle and cannot leave the field by any other way until your opponents next end phase. This makes it so that GG can't be bounced by link effects and still can be used effectively only once.

If Norden had the reatriction that you banished materials for the summon, it wouldn't work in its own archetype. The goal was to summon azathoth with synchro, fusion, and xyz monsters but banishing the materials would be counterintuitive. By just having one of required materials be a monster you control would be enough with super poly.

One simple Errata for ED cards is to either tighten their material requirements. Other options are to have clause where they can only use ONE out of 2-3 effects per turn, so there's actual decision making involved rather than just activate activate activate or lock your special summon for the TURN not for the rest of the turn, to a specific type or attribute, so you lose access to other powerful cards making your board still strong just not overpowered where the opponent cannot play at all.

I want to see Union Carrier come back for ABC. Changing its materials to require 2 light machine union monsters would make it less accessible to decks that want to abuse it, and ABC can still have access to it to make Cyber Dragon Infinity.

Dude the Kash fix is amazing and I would love to be able to play Kashtira again, even if it's like this. Well done!

1. For crystron i would make it state monsters that share the same name as the tuner can't use their effects the turn that it is summoned and that they can't be used for tribute or the summon of extra deck monsters other than synchros. 2. Norden i think needs the simple change of its materials to be (1 synchro/xyz) + ( one monster special summoned from the extra deck). This way it is still a good super poly target with more options but decks that recycle their monsters or only need 1 extra deck monster on field like branded, snake eyes, and tenpai can easily play around it.

I don't like erratas, they ruin the old cards for alternative formats and most of the time don't make them playable. The only ones acceptable are adding a once per turn clause that obviously should have been there for the beginning to fix a badly designed card, yours are extremely well thought out

After activating maxx c you can only activate 2 cards or effects and during the end phase you must shuffle cards into your deck equal to the number you drew from maxx Cs effect

The Errata of Halq is not that good I would just change it to " Special summon 1 Crystion monster from your hand or deck " and for the second effect it should say " you can special summon 1 tuner synchro monster from your extra deck but you cannot activate it's effects until the end of this turn.

U don't need to fix baronne eff, just fix it's summoning materials, 1 synchro tuner + non tuner synchro mons

I would still main 3 of that Maxx C, there's still a high ammount of cards that special summon by effect, just in this format we got one for one, Poplar, Ash and Oak, Flamberge, Orginal, Promethean, Chundra, Kaimen, Lo, Trias, every Voiceless ritual and Albaz Fusion. The card is going to be pot of greed most of the time.

Make Maxx c so you can only use it on an empty board, if the card resolves you can not activate any cards from your hand. This will stop people from making a board and dropping it on turn 2, also would stop people from drawing more handtraps. Yes they will be playing uninterrupted but you will have plenty of cards to brute force your way through

Halq - Honestly, is it wrong to just make it require 1 or 2 Krystron monsters for it's summoning. So it can keep it's broken effects but not make it generic. Norden- never thought on it really Maxx C - Honestly any restriction makes it better. Level eater - It's interesting. The banish a card might be overkill but it's interesting. Arise Heart- Best one on the list. I like it. Neptune - Hmmm this one might be overkill and very targeted to the Lyrilusc strategy. Making it last till the end of the turn makes it feel like a bad card. Maybe just leave it's effect intact but let it only use main deck monsters. Restrict it from using Extra deck monsters. Let people still make up strong strategies but making them work harder by searching their deck.

Maxx C errata is cool but still too busted. Modern yugioh literally always specials by card effect so you still gonna go like +5 for a lot of decks. In snake-eye alone you can draw up to 5 cards with Maxx C which is too much.

Erratas suck. Any errata that change the way the card was originally suppose to work is instantly disliked by me. That’s why I’m always a proponent of retrains.

Ariseheart would still be broken, Kashtira would just make it with 3 monsters and chill

maxx c power comes when u are 1st and vomit all ur deck then shotgun maxx c , it needs to have the effect to be activated if you control no cards thats it we fixed the card

level eater should just be for synchro summons. miss that card.

I would just have given Halq a synchro lock on both effects. But I like the need to use arrows, should be more standard for links. For Norden, I'd rather send materials to GY instead of banish to summon it. Maxx "C" fix is called Multchummy Purulia. Level Eater wasn't a problem before Links and is a Synchro tool, so Synchro lock is the simpler solution. Kash fix is cool tbh. Neptune could just copy the Level to further proof it further (also restrict it to copying monsters with a Level)

I appreciate the effort you put into the video but I would say without a doubt that many of the changes you would make to the cards you listed are the least elegant and clean solutions I have ever heard. Often the effects change functioning for no real reason: 1) I don't get Halq asking for a lv3 or lower tuner "to not be splashed in certain decks", you didn't give any concrete examples of these decks (I guess you wanted to prevent Mathmech from using it?). The problem was never that it could use lv4 tuners. 2) Elder Entity Norden's second proposed errata makes it a contact fusion for no real reason, and completely changes how the card works. But I agree that you should have to use your monsters (requiring at least one to be yours is already fine in my opinion). 3) Before fixing maxx C I would see what Konami is cooking with the Multchummy archetype, but if you really want to give an errata now to Maxx C you must necessarily add "You have to control no cards" to be able to activate it. 4) As you said a HOPT on level eater would fix the card in an elegant way but if you want to keep the old functioning and summon it several times in monarch/synchro deck then losing a card in hand would make it complete packfiller garbage as well as not maintaining what the card did. Then the fact that the card in your errata now lists "Link monsters" in the text is very strange and Konami tends to avoid specifying which types of monsters you cannot summon/have on the field but rather list which monsters you can have. In that case I would have said "if this card is in the GY and you only control monsters with a level, ... ". The part about banishing a card from the hand should definitely be removed otherwise I prefer it to remain banned. 5) For Arise-Hearth I like the idea of ​​keeping track of how many materials it has but I think some good, healthy playtesting is needed before finding the right number of materials. 6) Neptune I agree but to be safe I would make sure that the opponent cannot receive damage (in battle or by effect) for the rest of the turn in general.

You miss something important from "C" archetype. Most "C" cards are anti extra deck card. So, removing the ability to counter Extra Deck monster is not good. Beside, Extra Deck is a huge advantage in modern YGO, because this mechanic has consistency. This is unfair if we reduce the counter for it. I feel most players don't understand how "broken" the extra deck itself. . Halq, summon in link arrow and cannot be used as Link material. This is enough.

You lowkey buffed Maxx C by forcing opponents to play it properly instead of shotgunning it into Set 5 pass. This new Maxx C is still broken to shit, it just means I draw 10 off Snake-Eyes combo instead of drawing 15 That aside, though, I like a lot of the changes. Halq's errata was perfect to me and I'm cool with that, especially for its utility in Crystron since they do good when remaining on board

If we're going to errata cards to make broken banned cards worse, then I will only accept this if you errata garbage cards that should've been good to be better... If you are allowed to errata halq to be worse, then it's only fair to errata bujinki to be better... Make it so it will summon a monster with the same level from your graveyard and your hand *OR DECK* (not just only your hand, but can also summon from the deck). It needs so much set up and luck of the draw that it's trash.

I think for maxx c it should be: During your opponent's Main Phase 1, if you control no cards (Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand to your GY; this turn each time your opponent Special Summons a monster by card effect, draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect once per turn.
