turn off the car, pull the fuse, turn on the car, wait a minute, turn off the car, replace the fuse, start the car - fixed this problem for me. The touch screen was unresponsive to touch, so the normal reboot procedure did not work
Hi I have a Honda Civic 2017 , my screen display keeps flashing and my screen won’t respond to touch. Where do I locate the fuse and where can I find a replacement ?
@@taylorbennett5619 open the hood. the fuse panel is near the driver side headlight inside the engine bay. Remove the plastic cover. There is a diagram inside the cover - look for the fuse called "radio".
@@ineffableintech worked for the most part. Entire screen needed a replacement. Made a how to video on it as well. Everything’s working perfectly again.
Anyways, I was delivered a brand new honda Civic Oriel Nov 2017. Got a factory fitted multimedia/nav system installed but unfortunately the touch on the panel has stopped responding and its now almost impossible to change tracks or tune the radio. Only the area which navigates between source (i.e radio, aux, usb etc) is responding to touch.
Sorry to hear. Do you have a button at the very top of the display to left? You can either press or toggle down to refresh the screen on and off. Otherwise, try a notepad pen to help the screen identify the user.
does unplugging the battery has the same effect? I'm having an issue where all the lights on my dash go on! (engine, steering wheel, brake system) but the car runs fine
I'm gonna try this with mine. I have a 2017 civic hatch sport touring and recently the screen would sometimes leave a semi-transparent overlay of whatever was previously displayed when it switches to a camera or other display like google maps. Using the cameras are almost useless when an semi-transparent overlay of google maps is on it :(
@@ineffableintech I am experiencing this issue where it was flickering and I was unable to click on screen. I held the Audio button to see if anything would appear and nothing came up. I am stressing since I just got my 2018 Honda Civic, do you have any advice?
@@itslu333 Did you hold the power button on the very top left of the screen and press the audio button at the same time? I know it’s hard but there will be short time periods where the screen would stop flickering. Give it some time and try again.
@@SuperMisque the touchscreen might not be visible, but if you can approximately place your finger on where the button is and hold down the hard button at the same time, it should still be able to reset. Otherwise, give it a few days and it should start flashing again.
I know this an old vid. But at least your radio let's you browse around. Mind doesn't let me do anything. It keeps flashing on and off. Honda civic 2020 sport
@@ashleyiraheta5858 Hi Ashley. So a month ago a Honda dealer change the battery and its stop. Now I don't know if that was the problem but its stop doing that. I hope this helps. Have a good day
I am gonna do this. I have a 2020 civic EX-T and the infotainment on this car is THE WORST. Screen would go black and apple car play wouldn’t work. So I will do a factory reset.
Hey, I’m so sorry to hear. I hope Honda correct this issue for their new vehicles. It’s enough to steer me away from ever buying from them again, especially if the solution I provided doesn’t work (which is rare).
@@ineffableintech they have corrected this for their newer vehicles in that they are now using software which these cars will never get an update to. But yes I agree this was one of the things as to why I was not wanting to buy a Honda but the choices in this car class has decreased and my #1 choice was more expensive than the civic.
