Removing the fuse for a few mins fixed my problem. I had no audio, black screen, touch screen wouldn’t work, and my side/rear camera were flashing in and out. Thank you so much!
Everyone’s HERO!! I legit just got my car back from a collision center and was freaking out cause the camera didn’t work Called the place in panic, but I just fixed it watching your video. Ty!!
Thank you so much. As a girl didn’t know what to do i’m about to call honda but thankfully, youtube came to my mind first lol. The volume (reboot) worked on my civic 2021. Tnx again!
I own a 2021 honda civic. Was scared because my camera would only display a turquoise blue. All I needed to do was reboot my center console. Thank you for your help, this problem occurred at a time when I couldn't go to a repair shop.
Thank you so much! I have had a sarcoma in my back, neck, and shoulder. Surgeries have caused just slightly limits in my head, turning mobility on that side only. That camera helps me so much! I was so stressed about it being out and the cost to replace. Your video helped me more than you can imagine.
Thx for the tips It worked!! Had a new honda Only 3 yrs and not working. Crap, if 2016 models have the problem and 2021 models have the same problem, Honda has had enough time to fix it. O, computer chip is made in China and service needs to generate income..
Thank you! Although I have a 2020 and my control panel is slightly different, I figured this out, and it worked! Thank you again for saving me a trip to the dealership where they'd probably scam me out of money!
I was having an issue that the screen was stuck on an incoming phone call and I haven’t been able to play music and thanks to you showing me the hold power button to restart it I can listen to music again! 🎉😎 like and subscribed 👍
Thank you sir! Only thing displaying on my screen was the time. Couldn’t access CarPlay, climate controls, and rear or side camera wouldn’t display. Thankfully pressing the power/volume button three times before turning on the vehicle restarted the infotainment and it’s working properly again!
I been stressed ALL DAY my Screen went black and wouldn’t work but That Turning on the Car and Quickly putting it on N. Did it. WTFFFFFF . THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH. I was ready to throw the whole car in the trash. I was so mad. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can’t wait to try this in the morning! My screen isn’t totally blank it’s black but it says “objects are closer than they appear”. I’m hopeful this fixes it. But either way this was a great video. Thank youuuuu 👏🏻
Thanks for the video. Any idea on this ‘my screen is not working properly ie sometime touch is not working completely frozen and other time it’s automatically opening random settings whole vehicle settings are messed up’
The fuse removal for 5 minutes worked for my 2016 Honda Civic screen flashing AND touchscreen not working, so it wasn't just a malfunction of my side camera. None of the touchscreen buttons were working. Holding the audio on/off switch didn't work either. So I couldn't get to the "reboot screen". I took out the audio fuses as you demonstrated here. Wouldn't have tried unless you specifically showed that part. Saved me an entire day of dropping off my car at Honda and probably hundreds of dollars in their diagnosis and repair! Thank you!
My used 2021 HRV is doing this - only works the first time after starting the car, then each use after it goes blank with the OBJECTS APPEAR...etc shows. BUT, my question is: I don't have the AUDIO button above the HOME button. Is there a way to locate that or am I just a chick with a new car and can't find it yet ;) ? -Dianne in OKC
Rebooting the screen helped but the next day it was rear camera was black again. Going to trying pushing the audio off button 3 times then the ignition next time the issue occurs. Thanks for the help!
The black magic foot on brake switch to neutral worked for me, update, it turned back off as soon as i switched into park, tried again and doesn’t work anymore.
Fixed, pulled fuse cause mine was flashing and touch screen was not working. Pulled fuse, started car, turned car off, replaced fuses, started car, stereo booted up and worked
Not sure with the stripes but sometimes that can happen if you somehow hit it hard which you would have to replace it with a new screen. That can possibly fix it.
I just changed the battery in my 18 accord and the radio doesn’t work and a black screen. Only thing shows on that screen is when I go in reverse. I did try the power button hold for a few seconds Any ideas?
My 2017 Civic screen just shows the messsge: Notice The driver is responsible…”. This message won’t leave. I can’t even see the climate info, let alone the menu, audio, etc. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I just had the same thing happen. My blind spot camera stopped working, I got to this point, I did nothing but open the fuse box, poke the white case the fuse I think the one I wanted was in, and say "damn I'll mess with this crap later" and it works now. It's a weird win, but I'll take it. If I didn't read your comment first I probably wouldn't have thought to check after so thanks!
