The steel repair continues and the hood is rusted out in a spot from a mouse nest. Luckily I had a spare, junk, hood that I could get some sheetmetal from.
You do good work. It's not easy welding thin metal. You were doing it flat which isn't easy. Vertical downhill would give you a full bead but you would have to turn the whole hood. Letting the tacks cool is the correct way on flat sheet metal. As usual your the man!
