FIXING MY BENT POLARIS KHAOS TUNNEL!!! 

Hi, from Golden bc Hey just to give you a pro tech tip. When straightening aluminum always use heat, it is SUPER important to anneal the aluminum before straightening. I believe the temp to anneal is 230 c check that online or I will get back to you on it. When you anneal aluminum it relaxes the molecules in the aluminum and allows it to be reshaped. Aluminum is a fantastic metal as you may straighten it many times when done correctly. You have sweet skills on the way to bend it. When not annealed with heat the aluminum fractures. I hope this makes your next repair easier and better. (: Jerry remember though when annealing aluminum, it shows no sign that it is hot so burns are easy to come by and you can melt the metal at a much lower temp than steel. Cheers

Hey a long track doesn’t get stuck on a trail, but a short track is just work for you and all your buddies off of it. We have more fun with a little push in the corners then having to lift and push bumpers all day 😂

Don't listen to the haters about owning a mountain sled. I get a lot of crap for owning one in Minnesota but I do go out west and to the UP of Michigan. If I'm not riding in one of those 2 places then I ride the trails and ditches at home.

Should look for a company that makes some inside tunnel braces as well. Itek Industries makes a very nice bumper that wraps around the top of the tunnel as well.

That turned out pretty darn good, better than expected for sure! Might be time to add a reinforced bumper on mine?

Good as new! I actually bough my Shift 136 a few years ago that had something similar happen. Insurance totaled it out, so I bought it off a guy for $1000. Sled had 2000 miles on it, was essentially new. It runs 100% fine after I changed the a-arms and shocks. The tunnel is still tweaked, but give it character! Its all behind suspension, so it purely cosmetic.

My buddy did that with a 2003 F7 he wrote it all the way up until 2019 except it was on both sides she he didn't bother fixing it because he knew he was going to be doing more wheelies

It's a 'wherever the heck I wanna ride it' sled. It's yours; you do want you want. If you wanna bugger it up then bugger it up. You paid for it. Contrary to popular believe, these sleds aren't given to you by Polaris. I've said it before and I'll say it again, everyone wishes they had a buddy, brother, crazy uncle, like you Louie!! Looks like PowerModz, Jr. got a promotion from Cameraman to Asst. Shop Foreman!!

I think the original length would have limited the damage, there would have been less travel and momentum, kinda like a wheelie bar.

My assault tunel is bent downwards. Still dont understand how its even possible to bend that way. Must have wheelied in reverse or something.

Its not the problem of having a mountain sled.. IT's a problem having a mountain sled and driving it like your in 10 feet of snow over obstacles when you're only in 2 feet!!

Easy way to take rivots off is with a sharp chisel and a hammer... Clean and super fast!! Try it!

I’ll ride my axys and it’s 163 where ever the hell I want to too . Didn’t spend all that money to not ride it. What a waste of money that would of been. I live in Alberta so we are close to the mountains but in the 1000 km she has on er now 800 are in 1’ of snow and flat ground lol
