Come along for the ride and see if I am able to fix my car or if I ruin it forever!
If you're looking for a tutorial but can't figure out how to install a DV from this video, put down the plastic toolkit and leave this job to the "professionals," such as myself. Or just find a different video. (DISCLAIMER: I'm not a professional in any way, shape, or form. Not even close.)

Gotta say the turbo flutter sound from the “broken” diverter valve is kinda cool. Probably not the best thing in the world but hey

Revision D is prone to leak still as its plastic. Revision G the one you removed is still the best at holding boost better and after 20-30k you may need to replace. Here in the UK top tfsi tuners use revision G

I'm no expert or anything, but if you have a CEL and you hear an audible change in your engine, perhaps doing high speed pulls isn't the best idea! 🤷‍♂️

I have a 07 gti and I don’t no how to check to see if there is any power getting to my diverter valve how would I go about finding out I need some help

Did you still have the CEL afterwards and did you just clear it or did it go away?

I have copper wire sticking out my sinsor do u know if there’s a reason someone would do that or maybe for connection but it loops thru both wires

Sorry, I thought you said you ordered a part and it came three days later. How did you say, if you want parts fast and three days in the same sentence? In the UK we order parts and they come the next day. Where do you live?

I think it was just unplugged🤫🤫But my brother put the old one on his Mk5 and it only lasted a few weeks, so it was definitely on its way out

You also have loose wastegate. It can be heard at 5:10-5:14.

Why didnt you go with an upgraded diverter valve like the GFB DV+?

I asked the company I'm tuned with (IE) which one I should get. They said that everyone who has problems with their DV uses some kind of aftermarket one, but they've never heard of people having problems with the OE revision D, even on big turbo builds. Also, it was only like $50 versus $140.
