These machines are so easy to service and refurbish. I have 2 D4C's (1989 and 1995), they will run for year's if you treat them right. Parts however are getting hard to find for these old machine's.

Yea last I heard was rainbow was no longer making parts available to third party wholesalers. Have to buy from them directly now

The combination of rubbing alcohol and a drill powered brush is a nice tip for removing those paint marks around the base. I had given up on it with my vacuum until I saw this video. Thanks, Hank. My Bissell upright thanks you as well!

I found one in the trash recently. It works great and has lots of attachments, just needed a good cleaning and a new belt. Your information is very helpful Thank you

I have one too, also with a regular SE (with the rectangular PN1), and an original D4c (non-SE), I do like how the PN2 on this is easy to control compared to the original PN1.

I love my 30+ years rainbow 🌈 it cleans and shampoo carpets dust walls and furniture A fabulous product and well worth its cost

Wow that machine sure did a fabulous job. To bad they do not make these any more. Probably a good product for keeping debris out of the air as you vacuum I would think. Thanks for the video. Great job.

That's why people love Rainbows - the water in the pan gets way more dust and allergens out of your home than any other vacuum. Very popular with people who have asthma, etc.

Man I had a rainbow very similar to this. But with mine, the filter was a water tank on the bottom. Just used water to collect the gunk wether vacuuming or shampooing.... Got it from my dad, wonder if he just decided to keep the water tank on it... Edit- spoke too soon! Although my water tank was at least double the depth

Idk. People throw stuff away just because it’s old. Nothing new in this area. I’ve found like new Kirby’s, mowers etc

@@hanksgarage_ Yeah, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. I was expecting you to have to fix something based on the title. These are going for $300 + on Facebook Marketplace near me.
