Thank you so much for doing this video. I am making some tumblers as gifts and 2 of them did this badly and I was getting frustrated wondering how to fix it
What’s the best temperature for it to be in the room for epoxy? I just did my first tumbler and fisheye everywhere...but I didn’t sand or do a clear coat before epoxy I just sanded the tumbler, spray painted, put a vinyl image and epoxy. But I think I need to sand or clear coat first right?
You said something about your spin or not spinning fast enough and that’s what may have caused the ripples I have a spinner that only spins at one speed how do you know if it’s the correct speed?
@@CraftingUnedited thank you! I too did my first and it rippled, I made sure my tumbler was level (well to my eyes) but it was cold in the room. Thank you so much for your reply. I live in CO snowing here UGH! So I can’t retry again for a while. Thanks again.
Same method, I would try to add heat first. If that doesn’t work then sand it in that area and apply a tiny bit of epoxy in that area, even it out and spin for a few hours making sure to watch it. If it starts to get a little uneven more heat and spinning
Thank you for this idea just did my second cup and it has fish eyes…are you using just regular sand paper or wet sand paper? Do I need to sand it flat or just lightly over?
