i feel like they made windows less and less playful and more bland and boring since Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1, until Windows 11 came. Windows 11 may not have that aero look, but it still looks more lively and less bland.
@@FightClass3 Okay I might need to clarify. I am not saying Windows 11 is better than the live tiles of 10 but is not totally bland like other people think. I agree, the live tiles IS better, but Windows 11 gets a lot of crap for being "too bland". Windows 11 is not eye candy but is better looking than what many portray it as. By the way, don't act like something VERY objective as of looks is fact, and that I am factually wrong.
Another great masterpiece from Avdan yet again, love your new style of the fluent design icons, love the comeback of the live titles, the rich charms bar functionality, basically everything, and also the Avdan logo animation at the end was dope! 🔥🔥👏🏻 Keep impressing people, keep inspiring people, keep doing your amazing and unique work, good job Avdan! ❤️🙌🏻
This contains some things I can actually imagine to be put to good use in Windows! There’s a mistake in the beginning though, it’s “how it would look” or “what it would look like”. 😀 How long does one of those videos take you to make, from inspiration to rendering?
Honestly incredible. You can tell it's not another completely different OS and still has that Windows 8 theme in it while looking incredible and retaining usability which is something you don't find in many concepts. Nice work!
I actually really liked the Live Tiles feature even though I didn't use that often. It gives Windows so much personality. With Microsoft's design language right now like with its icons and fluent design, they could have leveraged Live Tiles a lot more. I'm so disappointed it was dropped completely with Windows 11. The Start menu on my laptop looks like a cluster f*ck of mess and lacks any meaningful design
I loved the live tiles. I used to be an avid Windows Phone user and loved the feel of the Windows Phone platform. Yeah it was limited compared to Android and Iphone in terms of proper ecosystem, but it was fine for me and if Microsoft fought to keep it alive and made Windows 8 into its own separate tablet OS like iPadOS, I would have loved it.
Softwarekeep sells illegal copies of Windows and Office - including software that was discontinued a long time ago like Windows 7 or Office 2010(!). Do not encourage piracy.
I really loved the Charm Bar Ideas. Easier to access snipping tool and clipboard. This minimalistic UI looks better than the OG W8, but I think some people were not ready with the UI that W8 had in that time. As always, your concept is stunning!
Cool idea of how the concepts in Win8 might have evolved had Microsoft continued down that road. I loved Windows 8, and apart from better integrating the desktop into the OS, I think it was in the right track. I might still be using a Windows computer as my primary if we'd gotten this rather than Windows 11 ...
Man. That is so beautiful. If only Microsoft had you. If this were real, this would almost be my favourite OS. I would recommend you add the option for a Windows 11 like start menu, and it would be perfect. Keep up the good work ❤
This video just proves how Windows 8 was a huge wasted opportunity and how it could've evolved into a great OS if it wasn't discontinued. Same goes with the Windows Phone OS. Too bad people didn't like it

They should bring this start screen as full-screen option
I wouldn't want windows 8 even as a 2023 edition, but I think avdan definitely deserves a job at Microsoft, his designs are really good and some are even better than what we have in the original versions of windows.
“Easily access to your clipboard from Charms Bar” It’s actually either: “Easily access your clipboard from the Charms Bar” or: “Easy access to your clipboard in the Charms Bar”
This is good but the only problem I have with this concept is the modern apps and the start screen keep the taskbar on screen like Win10's tablet mode and the title bar stays making it feel like a fullscreen program instead of it being a tablet app.
I this should be windows 8.2, a completely new windows 8 version but has the windows NT 11.0 and all the features of windows 11 but modernized, and no system requirements.
You'll never make me change my mind in this. Windows 8 (and 8.1)'s Metro UI and start screen was COMPLETE GARBAGE. It was all designed for touch. Which... y'a know... stinks with keyboard and mouse. I wish the start "menu" (if you can call it that) was more like 10's or 7's and not opening in fullscreen. Something Windows 10 did right was making the full-screen start menu 100% optional.
I'd like colored tiles like 10 years ago, but minimalism is changing so much that even colors are becoming a thing of the past, and so are colored logos.
ngl. when i was youngher I always wanted to have windows 8. Later like years later i managed to get windows 11 but it was a bad idea since yesterday it stopped working and my brother's laptop works with with windows 10. But if windows 8 had the same feel of performance and sustainability like windows 10 I wound chose the 2023 version of windows 8
stop saying "microsoft needs avdan" or something similar. MS will never do such thing, their executive's skulls are too thick for your words to seep into their heads. they will never change, just let them be whatever tf they want to be. sorry for crushing down your dreams.
The centered taskbar grew on me, to be honest. I hope they would give it a glass-like effect in Win 12. Making Windows 12 less bloated and instead give us options to pick if we use this PC for Gaming, working or etc. Depending on the options you'll get certain apps.
If it had appeared in this form, then most likely sales would have been an order of magnitude greater and then in 2015 they were waiting for the Windows 9.

I think Windows 8 was cool. A bit confusing but usable, it was less broken than Windows 7. My windows 7 laptop, long ago, crashed and showed a blue screen every time I tried to add a wifi network, and also crashed every time I pressed Ctl+Alt+Supr. When I reinstalled Windows 7, it returned some weird error about the drivers and coudln't boot again, so it was unusable, and I couldn't install another OS: It wouldn't start any of them. So I used Windows 8 in another PC, and I thought"where the f### is the start button???"😂. I didn't find it at the moment so I used the windows key. It had none of the problems that Windows 7 had, and it was more fluid and light and less laggy and heavy, and you could modify Windows 8/8.1 so they look like Windows 7. Windows 8.1 had the start button and was even more fluid and light. So i'd recommend you to try Windows 8/8.1 before agreeing with everyone and hating it. The design in the video is very cool, why not, but it's still too similar to Windows 11, and too far from being inspired in the actual Windows 8. e.g. the teskbar should be hidden while in the start screen, and the start button should be hiddden, invisible 😂. Also the icons should have been more like Windows 8, but in a more modern style, not a modified version of the Windows 11 icons.
Oh nice, I would certainly try this kind of start screen at least. The aesthetic is just right. Also, YES, now these are advertisements done in your style! They're just as enjoyable as the rest of the video 👍 .
Not sure why would Windows 8 be the most hated system? Windows 8 for sure was not the best, but 8.1 (fancy name but it was just a service pack release) fixed most of the issues and essentially made the system a better version of Windows 7. If you look back at the pervious releases of the OS you can easily see that most of them were only popular after one or more service packs.
