During startup - Warning message: package ‘stats’ in options("defaultPackages") was not found Error in inDL(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now), ...) : unable to load shared object 'C:/Program Files/R/R-4.3.1/library/stats/libs/x64/stats.dll': LoadLibrary failure: The specified module could not be found. How do I solve the problem
First things to check are that you have the right version for your operating system, and for your R version. When you say fails, what's happening? Is it an issue with your computer or browser or internet connection?
@@DrLyndonWalkerI still don't know what the exact problem was, but I was able to work around it by copying the download link and pasting it on a new tab. It worked that time for some reason. When I tried to click the installer link from the download page, my browser would show it was downloading, then at the last minute it would simply say "Failed" and not let me click on it. Reloading the page, clearing cache and cookies, restarting, turning off addons, turning off VPN didn't seem to help. Copying the link and pasting it into a new tab (which initiated another download) worked and I was able to install Rtools. Thanks for the quick response!
First step is to check it has been successfully installed. Use library(devtools) [installing devtools package if you haven't already] and then find_rtools() should give you TRUE. If not, try redownloading and installing (check you have the recommended folder to install to as well)
@@haythamzazai8146 That also answers the question of whether you have RTools installed. Try redownloading & installing. Make sure you use the folder they suggest.
