Honestly all I would of liked for more lucas rep in smash would be more mother 3 remixes, we haven’t gotten a single remix since brawl, the game lucas was introduced in. Making claus a echo fighter would of also been cool, but that would of never happened no matter what circumstances there was.

The Blue Ness for his classic route is supposed to be his younger self that appears in Magicant I'm pretty sure. (Also I would've used the Masked Man palettes for the Lucas final bosses but I understand if you'd prefer not to for thematics' sake or just think it looks tacky.)

Ness and lucas's representation in smash has always irked me, I never got why their magic effects don't match any psi move from the games. Ness's should be red white and blue for pk rockin and Lucas's should be light blue for pk love

5:53 Since Melee, there has been talk about Ness and Sheik being unofficial rivals of some kind in the Smash series as they’re often seen fighting each other in official screenshots and manuals. Rather that has anything to do with Ness vs Sheik in classic mode is anyone’s guess. Just wanted to throw that out there.

most things about Smash Lucas don't bother me but I will never not be upset that they did not make his boss fight Ganon. The main enemy faction of Lucas's game is literally an army of pigs and Ganon still fits into the routes theme because of "sacred powers." (Ganon breaks into a place called the sacred realm to rise to power in Ocarina of Time) It was perfect!

I came up with a conceptual Classic route for Lucas, though it involves DLC characters with how I made it. I really tried with this Lucas's Classic route is called "A Tragic Story", the route focuses on characters who have went through an extremely tragic life in their respective games, a nod to Lucas's own tragic life in Mother 3 (basically about the most traumatized characters). The opponents are: Round 1 - Samus & Zero Suit Samus in Brinstar, music is "Theme of Samus Aran, Space Warrior" (Samus appears first and upon defeating her, ZSS comes in since they're really are just the same person) Round 2 - Kazuya & Mii Brawler in his Heihachi Outfit in Mishima Dojo, music is either "Desperate Struggle" or "Aloneness" (it's a free for all since Kazuya deeply hates Heihachi for everything) Round 3 - Cloud & Sephiroth in Northern Cave, music is "Aerith's Theme" (like with Kazuya & Heihachi, it's a free for all since Cloud and Sephiroth are the hero and villain, and Sephiroth really likes to ruin Cloud so much) Round 4 - Young Link in Great Bay, music is "Termina Field" (can be the original or remix version) Round 5 - Lucina in Arena Ferox, music is "Duty (Ablaze)" Round 6 - 2 Corrins (one male and one female) in Castle Siege, music is "Lost in Thoughts All Alone (Original) Final Round - Lucas in his Claus outfit & Mii Gunner in his black color Standard Outfit wearing a Bionic Helmet wielding a Beam Sword, the Mii Gunner's specials are: Charge Blast, Flame Pillar, Arm Rocket, and Absorbing Vortex. The stage is set in omega form Norfair with the music playing "Mother 3 Love Theme". The "Claus" Lucas fights first and then upon being defeated, the Mii Gunner will appear, a reference to the Masked Man. Basically this is a nod to the final battle of Mother 3.

Personally, I would've included a 2v2 in the conceptual mode of Lucas and Daisy (Hinawa) vs Chrom and Lucina. This would be a pretty cool matchup of Mother and Son VS Father and Daughter.

Lucas Is Not A Failure He Was The Greatest.

It would be cool if the classic mode idea had a custom boss with a custom stage. The custom boss could have 2 phases, the first phase is the masked man and his attacks wouldnt be like any of the custom bosses, it could just be a regular fighter that you cant unlock. And the second phase would be followed up after you defeat the masked man as he reveals himslef to be claus and then a franklin badge falls that claus cant pick up and claus starts firing a pikachu thunder like attack at you until he eventually is defeated... THEN THE CREDITS ROLL HOORAY!

One thing we can all agree with is that Mother 3 is amazingly represented in World of Light and Spirit Mode in general

Also in terms of character designs (I am talking from as a competitive player ngl), Lucas feels like he needs a rework with his moveset. He feels like he's trying to play have his own gamestyle, but is really held back by him being just a Ness rehash since Brawl. Whereas Ness's moves all mix together really well, hence him being able to be consistent and strong character in Smash, Lucas's moves, while they are strong themselves, don't really mix well. On one hand, he feels like he's supposed to be the defensive PSI fighter, focusing on spacing & zoning with his PSI attacks given his disjoints like forward tilt, forward air, z-air, and PK Fire, but then you have moves that look like he's supposed to be a combo fighter (which is Ness's gameplay) given his down tilt, neutral air, and up air. Basically, his moves don't really connect together and feel more like a clash between 2 types of playstyles, which is the opposite of how Ness's moveset as he's both consistent and versatile (a strong all-rounder you can say). Ness's specials overall are even better than Lucas's specials as Ness's has more versatility and better reward whereas Lucas's are, while pretty good on the surface, but in actuality, are merely specialized and one note (yes including PK Flash, you can do a lot more with PK Flash than with PK Freeze. You'd be surprised by how useful PK Flash is.) Again, Lucas really needs a rework

Flint isn’t an abusive dad. This has been debunked by many people. Tanetane islands depiction of him is 1. A hallucination and 2. A result of a young Lucas seeing his dad hit rock bottom going around attacking people because he just lost his wife and he also feels his own guilt for his brother going missing the day after his mom dies. Itoi’s vision here was his biggest fear of family turning its back on you and that’s what TT island represents

I think the real tragedy is that the only new Mother series remixes are two (In my opinion) inferior remixes of songs that already have smash remixes (And to rub salt in the wound neither of those remixes are from Mother 3). All three games have amazing soundtracks and I wish that was a little better represented.

They should add Gyigas/Giegue to Smash Bros as tons of other villains exist he can normally be giegue and he turns into giygas should be his special but as we all know giygas is to dark for smash bros but maybe giegue could work but I doubt it.
