Get ready for another fast-paced action-packed video. It's all about mechanics and wrenching in this one. I set about sprucing up my cheap E46 325i Touring that at first glance didn't look too bad but turned out to be heavily mistreated by its previous owners. An hour seamlessly passed by and brought back all the nostalgic memories of staying up late at night and working on my E46 330ci. The PCV (oil separator) was a real joy to work on lol. Keep up the videos, waiting anxiously for the next one!

Did you ever change all the hoses or only the front one? I changed everything with the PCV and it was really fun. Also the lower intake hose is one of the worst parts...it can be really nerve wrecking to work on...

This channel is addicting, well made and no wasted time rambling like so many others. You did in less than an hour, what I did in 10 years of owning an e46, literally almost everything you did, only thing I didn't tackle was the oil pan gasket, was just too much for not having a lift. @@M539Restorations To clean the interior of the engine I recommend oil with molybdenum sulphate (or LIQUI MOLY 8342), works even for E34.

Me when I saw the video on upload day: "The cooling system of the M54 can't possibly be that unreliable." Me today, driving with my E39 with M54: Water pump breaks spectacularly with lots of smoke from the escaping coolant. "I guess it *is* that unreliable." (175.000km by the way)

Why people insist on not changing the oil regularly , and that stupid recommendation for 30k kilometers oil change on some cars. If everyone changed oil every 10-15k km engines would run so much longer without issues.

Carb/throttle body cleaner may take off the oil pan gunk. Also, Marvel Mystery Oil is a great engine cleaner. Put it in and leave it in until the next oil change. It's cleaners are mild and it lubricates as it cleans.

The blueberries in your muffin more than likely were grown on a farm here in the town where I live in Australia. I am surrounded by blueberry farms, and we export them all over the world, including to Germany. Enjoy! I do not own a BMW, and probably I never will, but your videos are fantastic. The right balance of knowledge and entertainment, and it's really different to see neglected cars being restored to original condition with factory parts, rather than aftermarket modifying like so many other automotive channels. Great stuff. Did you used to work as a BMW tech? Or have you acquired your extensive knowledge through experience? You certainly know your stuff. Oh, and your editing is next level good. I was wondering about that...don't you need a special tool to disconnect these? I never had to disconnect them, but I always assumed they're the same connectors you find on fuel lines where you have to slide one of these little plasic tools over the line to disconnect it...

lovely..! just did all this on my 330ci, "sadly" im living in sweden so much more problems with bolts and rust.. EVERYTHING is tight as fuck.. everything got fixed tho, except the dreaded liftertick.. ive even had them changed but then it got "worse" :( only when car is heated up.. so damn strange fault.. keep it up anyways!

As much as I want to buy a BMW I don’t.. because as soon as I buy one I’ll need to spend $2500 in parts and bust my back. Females usually drive these cars in my area and all the adds for sale shows they’re in poor condition with a good chance of zero maintenance.. as soon as these cars feel sluggish or shaky they’re sold off
