I'm thinking about making a series on this. So if you want more of these videos feel free to like the video, it's the best way for me to know you want more of it! :) And I obviously wasn't able to feature all the submissions, unfortunately, but thank you all for the interest! Also, don't send me any FLP's right now! I'll let everyone know through a RU-vid/Instagram post on how to submit if I make this video again!
@@LegitxxMusic Haha I was going to release it, but I got that perfectionist mindset and I feel like something doesn't feel right with that track, but we will see if I'll release it eventually anyway!
Hey, I'm the composer of the first song. Thank you so much for choosing me. The final result is amazing I love it !! I'm glad you like the melody, it's really motivating ! (I don't even know why I put these weird eqs, I didn't know how to mix when I made this track 😅)
Although it was just you fixing their tracks, I found every single word EXTEMELY helpful and i can't wait to jump on tomorrow and finish my track with these tips.
Hey, amazing that my Project made it into the Video And btw. your result is really amazing 😍 Aaaaand btw. with the ARP I wanted the drop to sound less empty, although I knew there's no one in the original Track 😅. But Yeah, it didn't made any sense. And of course Thanks, for your great Videos and the help for my Project! 🙏
I've been making music for 9 years now and I'm finally starting to make beats that sound good, two days ago I finally released my first album and you are a huge inspiration to me! I can't wait to be comfortable with my program like you are! I watch a lot of your videos as well as those of "Jonas Aden", "Levi Niha" and "Bishu", you don't even know how much you are helping me to make my dream come true and for that I could never thank you enough !
@@mo22n i can't say im a pro, I've learn everything by myself and with some youtube videos but im mostly doing techno and i recently started to do Drum & Bass, i think it sound really good! The album i made to be honest is nothing compared to what i can do now so i don't recommend it xD but dont hesitate to go on my channel if you wanna hear my songs :)
It's mad how I will sit here for hours with no knowledge and just play around with things, and I get soo good at hearing the same shit over and over that I eventually think it becomes good. Until I hear something like an actually good song 🤣 You've literally taken these and made them sound so high quality and high production it's crazy.
i dont know why helping people out with beats isnt a more common thing. i see such huge potential in this, there would be wayyy less throwaway projects
If you're gonna make a series out of this, I wanna send some tracks that need checking at some point as well. Been a fan since 2 years now, hope you're doin fine, Memphy!
this is the best way to teach someone, bcoz everyone shows their success /goodtime but never shows their failure and bad times.Briging someones mistake in from of him is the best way to learn and teach someone .
Bro you saved my lot of time. I was making same mistakes from last 3 months. I always aad 4 layers of bass and 4 layers for main lead; hence there is almost no power in drop. Thank you soo much bro. Now I got where I am lacking..
great video, but telling people not to remove the sub of the kick is really bad advice imo it doesn’t purely “make it less powerful”. when you have an OVERLY subby kick, it will fuck with your dynamics and take up headroom in your mix. when you have a separate sub bass, especially with syncopated rhythm, that already makes your low end pretty busy, but introducing loud sub bass on a kick too will eat up space in the mix, and generally make your song muddier. on a track with a heavy sidechain like that house track it doesn’t matter too too much, but to tell people they should NEVER cut the lows is purely misleading. as a music producer, i’m positive that you know that some people make music where the sidechain doesn’t pump to silence, and i am also positive that you know that some samples are not as clean as others, and some may even have frequencies below 10hz that will fuck up your dynamics in the mix and you won’t understand why. let your sub bass do the sub bass things and let your bass drum do the bass drum things, better advice would be “only cut the sub out of a kick if it’s too subby or if you don’t have a sidechain which reduces the volume of the sub bass to -inf.” hopefully this doesn’t come across like i’m an asshole, i just think that generalizations like that shouldn’t be made, especially by someone who has a following to the likes of your own.
Hey, thanks for the comment. In this case, I'm talking in the context of this specific drop (which is something I probably should have clarified more) where the bass & sub-bass is side-chained to the kick. There is literally nothing interacting in the low-end with the kick, so completely removing the sub doesn't make sense, since it will make the frequency spectrum almost completely empty below 50 Hz when the kick is played. If the kick wasn't side-chained to the bass/sub-bass, then yes, an EQ like was showed in the video could make sense. But that wasn't the case and isn't the case in 99% of EDM drops which is why I just said it was a mistake. I guess I could have explained it further, but going too much in-depth on technical things generally makes the audience bored so I tend not to do it.
@@Memphy for sure. thanks for not taking it personally, i did really enjoy the video!! i’m sorry if i came across a little hard, it’s difficult for a lot of people to have disagreements civilly on the internet, so tons of respect to you for your response. i mainly had a problem with the “never do this” part, but i now understand that you have to keep your engagement up, which sometimes means not getting too technical also, i would love to see more videos like this! keep up the cool content, i plan on watching a lot more of your stuff tonight :)
