First thing that comes to mind about your “onion skin”: stock to leave? Since you used adaptive clearing, it’s common for those operations leave stock by default. Awesome video! Very entertaining
Not sure if he's using a bullnose/corner radius end mill, but the radius may leave some small amount of material (0.020") uncut on the surface. Because it's so tall, anything above the bottom 10% just flexes away from the tool.
The cupboard looks like a bar fridge if you mix a little iron powder in with your paint you can use any wood door like a fridge door and use magnets I have drill and tap charts on mine
