I'm doing the exact same thing but with IA since a couple of months on my twitch save. Got Icelandic football to 20th place in the European coefficient after 7 seasons. Recognizing a lot of the issues you're encountering though 😅 Looking forward to watching every episode of this series though!

In my current journeyman I have a Icelandic chap called Bjorki Por Tommason, 19 year old striker who's scored 30+ goals in the Belgian league. I just checked and he regened at Icelandic club Breidablik who where in the premier league (though it was 2038 lmao) so keep an out there aha! Also in terms of tactic I've had some ridiculous results with a 41212 with wingbacks, DLP, CM On attack and box to box, Advanced playermaker also on attack and two strikers preferable a AF And PF.

I did a Fylkir save a few FMs ago and loved it, the season timings it what ended up ruining it for me, trying to compete in the Champions League during the off-season is a nightmare!

Love the fact you are going to try building up Iceland! Just a tiny suggestion… we use the first name exclusively in Iceland. Our last name is our fathers name with -son added on for men and -dóttir for women. So if you talk about “Jónsson” you are talking about Jón’s son

i did an iceland save this year with 2nd tier Vestri and it was going great until i got in the UCL and the home grown stuff really messed me up. wish i had taken it more serious lol

Im curious what would happen in terms of reputation if a really well known manager (such as the Crystal Palace manager from your other save) would go to Iceland. Any idea what that would do? Would it work on players only, or also raise the reputation of the entire competition. I mean, if Pep would go manage in Iceland now.... Im sure a TV crew would at least follow him at the start.

I'm managing IBK Keflavik and Fjolnir are my bogey team, I fluked the league first season but the following two seasons I've finished 3rd and 2nd, Flolnir beating me everytime I faced them...

Well once we're in European comps that period will be packs with continental matches, and the Legaue Cup is in February and March

@@WorkTheSpace Will you after to arrange friendlies etc in advance of returning to those games after 2-3 months off? Will be like a mini pre season! Park to Prem, Network Game and Build a Nation ongoing simultaneously. Well played sir! Very jealous. Currently off FM with exams coming up but can’t wait to get back to my Schalke save.
