Hi, This technique requires you bend your wrist in a awkward way in relation to classical position (where you do arpeggios and free strokes). How do you deal with the transition of one position to another ? Nice work, thank you
Good question. Flamenco guitar music is composed in a way that does not require fast switching from free stroke to flamenco pulgar postures. There are rare cases too, though. Then you simply practise the act of switching within the sequence.
I see you're resting your ring finger on the guitar inbetween golpe's - Is this the correct technique when doing flamenco Pulgar? Could it not mute the sound of the Golpe?
Not the nail golpe. A flesh golpe, however, could be muted with that, it's because the nail golpe doesn't make the top vibrate for a long time, it's very sharp and short.
