There are loads more games out there if you are looking for something different. I hear great things about Chain of Command, for example if you want more complexity. Either way, in this scale I think FoW plastic kits are the best out there.
@@ModellingforAdvantage I have been looking into, Nuts, & one hour Skirmish as well as chain of com. My background is boardgaming ie. ASL, Lock & Load.
I haven't picked up this one, but did get the Desert Rats Squadron box. It is the same except that the four Shermans are replaced by five Cromwells, and it has two Fireflys rather than one. One point about the M10s: you can make two turrets the M10 or the M36; the M10 turret can be made up as the M10 w/ 3" gun or M10C Achilles w/ 17pdr gun not both. Though what can be done, if you use magnets, is use the M36 turret on a US Shermans to make the M36B1 TD. The US where short of M10 hulls at one point and put them onto M4A3 hulls. The Churchills also allow for multiple turrets to be made so magnets are a must for this kit too. Thanks for the review. Very detailed and enjoyable. :)
I have a question regarding this kit and was wondering if anyone can give me advice on this I am South African and was looking at getting this box to make the South African 6 armored division and was wondering where I could find information to do that with
Nice - that's a lot of plastic! I went a bit crazy with 15mm US and German back in winter so won't be getting any Brits in a hurry, but if (or rather when ha ha) I do I'll definitely start with this box as it's such good value.
@@ModellingforAdvantage Ha, no! I built a tonne of tanks and vehicles and then got cold feet on the whole project. It's my first foray into 15mm and I think Imade a tactical error by picking a theatre I already play in 28mm. I'm sure I'll eventually get back to it and start painting, it's just so wee! Almost too wee.
This set arrived at my doorstep from you guys today, delighted to get my hands on it and delighted to support the channel! Love your flames of war unboxings and battle reports, keep it up! 😁👍🏻
@@ModellingforAdvantage Exactly! Very tempted to have a delve into Mid-war desert after I saw some bits on your store, I can imagine it being quite different to Late war.
@@PanzerManBran Really depends which armies you want to play I guess - they are both cracking value. I think the British Vs Italian set is a more interesting game though.
