Flames of War FTW: How To Use Flamethrowers! 

Could you guys make a battle report in which you use these tactics? That would put them in a clear game context as well as a better tactical appreciation over the board.

I like how dramatic Dave sounds when he talks about the things being dead.

Even though it's been years since I've played a tabletop game I'm loving these videos. Hope I win the starter set so I can start playing again, the only game we have in the house currently is bloody scrabble!

Try flamethrower in a large pine forest! Rick my usual Russian opponent to my Finns usually advances his mg company (normally 8 maksims, occupied. 12 of them) inside the cover of forests. Most units going into the forest gets chewed up with defensive fire, including Sissi units. However my pioneer platoon with 2 flamethrowers with a little help from a Jaakari Recon platoon showed him that a maksim platoon can evaporate very quickly. On the other hand I love his no dice required way of dealing with my mg nests and pollinated. He simply drives a T26 up and parks it in front of the firing slit. Yes I can attack it, destroy it and route the rest of them but I still have a T26 parked where I don't want it. We have worked out the T26 still has full use of the turret when parked in front of a nest and partial use on a public. Which leads to the question can a crew under the rules choose to bail out and seeing that this was the plan can the exit as an SMG team?. Or should we limit the amount of port consumed before the game

This is really cool! What I love most about these kind of Minatures is you can path them on like clocks. If you don't need them anymore or some of them you can pass them on or lend them to inspire other people. Really cool and espacially the easy rules can even inspire people who are less into minatures. :)

Always wanted to try out Flames of War

Well, it's kind of expected that in a game named "Flames of War", flamethrowers kick ass :)

I love the winter board, but how do you rule area terrain like woods?

Even if 4 inches was about 20-30 ft to scale flame throwers could go out to 50 ft

I've been looking to get into FoW for a while now, and theese videos are helping a lot. However, I'm still not sure whether to go with FoW or Bolt action.

How would tanks with flamethrowers work, would that be a single use and then it acts as a normal tank? Because the T34 tankovy platoon I recently brought had the option to replace the hull mg with a flamethrower

Love your videos, but can't stand unpainted minis. Seriously guys, couldn't You paint them before the game considering how few You have used?

I use 6 wasps and 3 crocodile with my Indian army. Love them.

Hey guys! This was posted 6 years ago, so I don't think you will see this, but I had a question non-related to the video. Me and my dad have been wondering if you can use mortars inside a house. In real life, you technically could shoot them out the window which would be very hard. I normally would have assumed the answer was that you can't...but recently, I got a larger mortar platoon which says it can't be used in a house. This leads me to wonder since the other one doesn't say it...can you use it in a building, but there is some sort of penalty to your shots?

I love the smell of napalm in the morning ... So, what about flamethrowers vs armour? What about vehicle-mounted flamethrowers (I'm thinking Crocodiles and Wawsps)? How do they difrfer from man-pack units?
