Just got my 5 year old son into wargames and he chose flames of war so I picked up the hit the beach starter set for late war, 2x el alemain starters and now i need to buy 2-3 faction starter sets this is getting expensive very quickly lol.......for father and son time it's more than worth the cost. Time to start getting overtime in at work ....cheers for the unboxings lads

I got into FoW two weeks ago with a Panzer Kampfgruppe (and the Fury and Stalingrad mini-boxes). I planned to primarily play Germans as I do in Bolt Action... then I saw this box set. This is _choice_ and I had to order it and the Forces book. Can't wait for them to arrive!

All of these Starter Forces look amazing value. I'm still most tempted by the British one, but all of them are great!

I too was tempted by the brits as a secondary force after I do my lssah panzerjager company but looking forward into the future the Americans (hopefully) will get m4a3e8's hellcats pershings so going with them instead but CHURCHILLS!!! another new sprue so we can get six variants on table YAY!!! gonna buy them just because they are awesome

Love the box set. I have substantial American and German forces already, but boy would that have been nice when I was getting started. The starter sets are getting better and better.

People were asking for ages and finally we got it. I find it harder to build your army of historical games than let say AoS. Also availability may be a problem. Kudos.

Where i could found the legal armored company with Sherman 76mm Platon? There are in hit the beath and in these box but in fortress Europe could not found them.

Do you still need a separate core rulebook? Or do the included documents provide enough to play assuming you had two of these sets?

9:45 Chris says there should be a couple of the command sprues in the box (the website also says 2) but I only found one in my box. I couldn't tell if you got another amid the small sprues you just tossed aside. Was I shorted a sprue or is the web site incorrect?

Do I buy this or Battle of the Bulge Starter? I want mainly that infantry and half-tracks. 45€ for armoured rifle company isn't cheap, if you can get all of this for 72€. Hm

I do want to get this, but my brother tried to get me into v3. I did buy a bunch of American stuff, so between Hit the Beach and that I have a Sherman company and a Riffle Company, so I probably don't need it. Still.....

One of these days, when you do the unboxings you need to spend as much time with the rules and other stuff (stat cards and so on) and not just the extremely gorgeous models! I mean, gamer model porn is great, but there are games that go above and beyond with all the other stuff, other games, not so much. Seeing differences is a good thing!

Not so great deal, forexample 3 x M10 why 3?? You will need 2 or 4 M10:s not 3,just a scam so you have one extra, or if you want to use 4 , you have to boy box of 4? Then you have more than one extras.
