Just got this today. So far I really like it. The ability to “channel switch” between clean and overdrive of all the models and the ability to save your settings is amazing. I’ll see how it works straight to PA this weekend at my church gig.

@@jocammena2436 it’s worked very well. The Fender and the Marshall setting are my personal favorites. And the built in cab sim sounds good. No need to buy a second IR loader.

Mr. Speed I gig for a couple different churches through out the week most of them don’t allow amps on stage and I’m glad I came across this comment because I just ordered the pre amp and was gonna get an Ir loader also thanks for saving me some money this week 😂

@@RyanLutton Well I mostly care about the clean channel (especially the clean channel of the first three presets), because I want to shape the overdrive tone myself. So it will be great if you can plug a clean boost, a flat eq overdrive (blues breaker or d-style) and some kind of a fuzz in front the fs06. They are advertising this pedal as something reacting similar to a tube amp, so I just want to hear if it’s true. I’ve been looking for these physical-amp-replacement pedals, and this seems oddly familiar with mooer’s micro preamp series, except this has 7 algorithms compare to mooer’s 1 algorithm per pedal, and they are like the same price (brand new mooer is actually even pricey, but tbh I only need one algorithm, so even if I got a fs06, I’m gonna end up using one) and the clean channels of the mooer ones are known for low output, so I want to know if this is the same. Sorry if I’m too greedy, but there are still no one doing a comparison review of these amp-emulation pedals, it would be really awesome if you can do some since I fully trust your review! I don’t know if you’ve heard about the nutube from vox, they have made a mv50 series and a new line based on this technology. (I’ve played with the mv50 clean and it sounds really wholesome, something I think you would like as well.) Again, thank you for your content!

Great demo Ryan. Would you be able to demo the preamp with OD pedals in front as well as with different CAB sim options. Would also love to see all 5 Flamma single pedals in action.

Just a curious question. Are you able to plug in headphones on one of these so you can listen to the whole pedalboard without a need for an amp? Or does it only work with some multifx like Zoom G3X?

Hi friend, I saw that this pedal saves the configuration of each preamp. Two questions: Are they automatically saved after the pedal is turned off? And does he have the ability to save the 7 options or just a preamp?

@@RyanLutton That would be an absolute Deal Breaker 100%. Audio dropout is Impossible to deal with, at any price point - for me.

OK, this doesn't work well at all to replace an amp's pre-amp section. I tried in on the my Vox VR30R and my 15W tube amp via the send return jack. The Flamma allows far too much low and high end frequencies to come through, and the pedal's EQ stack can't compensate. If your amp's EQ section is post-send-return, you might be able to dial it in. But basically the Flamma is really designed as a direct-to-board or direct-to-DAW solution, not a true "pre-amp". I did discover my Bogner Ecstacy Blue pedal and my Joyo R-Series Taichi Dumbler pedal both work exceptionally well as replacements for my amps' pre-amp sections. The Flamma FS-06 is very easy to use, and the dual-channel feature is great. You have to save each channel one at a time, you can't toggle from clean to drive channel without losing your settings, which makes it a bit harder to set levels. You'll have to save each time you want to compare one to the other. I wish they'd added in some simple reverb so it would be a true amp replacement for running to the PA at gigs. Sometimes the thing starts up with a bit of hiss/whine, or a lot of noise in the line. Likely just a software issue because I could fix mine by disconnecting the power and re-connecting. There's a typo in downloadable manual, btw: Hold down the two buttons simultaneously to switch the cab sim on/off, and the Save/Select button will blink if cab sim is on.

@@AndrewLewisHowe I'm going to be ordering one to run in my amps Effects loop but believe the best way would be to run it directly into the Effects return so you bypass your amps preamp/EQ then use the power section only. But make sure the Cab sim on the pedal is turned off so you get the full preamp range hitting your power section and speakers. Cab sims heaily colour the preamps tone. I would also recommend a JHS Switchback as well so you can switch between the pedal -> the power amp and your amp preamp -> the power amp easily.

Some of the modes doesn’t have the character of the real amps for me. Maybe because of the cab sim which is obscure. I would like to hear them with IRs.

@@RyanLutton Is that video out yet? I'm thinking about purchasing this pedal. How is the Noise-floor? It seems to be Great bang-for-the buck? (covering all distortion tones, which I rarely use, but good to have for $70)

@@michael_caz_nyc noise floor is a little higher on models 3-7 but not awful. The Fender and Vox models have a low noise flow. No noticeable hiss.
