As soon as 'Ralph' was removed from the series due to his actor being 'cancelled' from old tweets I was DONE with The Flash. I'm black and I was ticked off because the actor got the boot because was my FAVORITE one on the show along with his dynamic with Sue.

They were jokes in 2014 and earlier when no one gave a shit about twitter, if you had told news broadcasters back then that they would be reporting on twitter beyond maybe if it had some big news regarding it's stock price they would think you were insane. 2016 changed everything, suddenly twitter became as equally official as if you had written a legal document, or a researched suggestion to HR at a company and we decided that we were going to take the retroactive approach of having it all be equally valid. No matter when things were said and it what context. There is no way people did not know about these things when they hired him, they just didn't care until someone decided to make a compilation and spread it the same way they spread Gunn and everyone else who's time it is to get the worst thing they have said without any context out into the world to be outraged. He didn't have a contract for season 5, if the flash has proven anything it's that it has no problem trying out characters and if they don't work, or the actors don't want to do it anymore get rid of them. Ralph for some reason was the character that for an entire season did not work in season 4 but was hired to try again anyway. And somehow in season 5 was one of the more tolerable things about it, not great but still solid. Then in season 6 they managed the impossible, Ralph with the new showrunner who later cast him out, became about as near vital to the series as Caitlin and Cisco for Team Flash as any character that wasn't there since season 1. More than that the show seemed to really have found a way to write in how Sawyer had managed to grow into the role so when you saw him at cons it was really the writers taking his personality and making some of the best moments of the worst seasons of Flash have at least something to look forward to. His story arch with Sue was great because there was actually chemistry between the actors. The second Sue showed up on the screen, I knew they were pretty much copying catwoman but it fit with having someone who could tempt Ralph to go down his own ways, and in the end would balance each other out. It was clear the writers intended for them to be the new couple that could build up the same way Barry and Iris had but in their own way and one day, probably finale get married, or get married when Iris gets pregnant so that they could develop a more natural new couple. Unlike with Chester and Allegra which just feels like the writer decided to give Allegra a less serious personality than the one she started out with so that it would be plausible for them to fit together as a couple. And they just do it because they don't really have any other character that can give them the type of relationship drama that would actually build somewhere. Worse they wasted over 20 minutes in the crossover on a sub plot about them in the reverse falshpoint having hooked up, one left for whatever reason and apparently doctor hallway couldn't see them for a chat until 10 years later. They kiss and seconds later Barry resets the timeline again. The actors didn't want to work with him, maybe because if Grant had tried to stay firm his showrunner would be pissed off, and once the letter came out. Everyone was "shocked and sad", would they really have been said if they had been wanting him gone for the type of behavior you said he displayed? Or could it be they knew by having been around him that if he ever was that person he most certainly had changed. But would lose their jobs if they fought for him to stay on but even if everyone in the cast had done so, just taking the chance on the showrunner they wouldn't take he chance of the blowback of social media. Keep telling yourself those things, one day the thought and speech police will get you on something you don't even remember saying.
@@BaithNa Not to mention especially since the new showrunner took over the motto of the show has been giving even the worst of people second chances. I know that it's fiction but maybe practice what you preach a little? Or at the very least be consistent, you say that Sawyer said violent things about women as if it hinted that he is a violent man, Ezra Miller with his own hands choked a woman yet he still gets to be The Flash.
I agree with everything Hassan said about XS. Literally everything wrong about the “family” dynamic they had was Barry and iris trying to parent a goddamn 25 year old, back in season 5? And I get that you’ll always be your parents child, but still. Also I love the Dylan edit, that fucking killed me.
Candice situation on the Flash is pretty much like Kat Graham on Vampire Diaries. She's a great actress, but the people behind the scenes did her character so dirty. It was clear beyond arguably season 2 that they either had no idea what to do with her character or just flat out didn't care.
We're going to be coming back to it. Flash is going to be weekly again, but due to lower views on Superman we're gonna do it in larger bulks. Plus Hassan was gone for a bit, he's back now though!
I agree. But then the excuse is just enjoy it for what it is “campy and fun” when all these shows start off at a high, the CW just turns it into a drama series with little action. Yes we all know that the point of the Cw but still it’s about time to wrap up the arrowverse (which I enjoyed earlier on) but now these extra seasons seem to have the writers lost and making bad writing decisions all for the sake pushing out more seasons. Let’s end the arrowverse and start over on HBO max with more comic accurate depictions of these characters. Peacemaker was “okay” but I was annoyed to hear that James Gunn told John cena to not even read the source material about peacemaker so John can play the character more accurate. That is one of the problems plaguing DCTV because they are just reshaping the character personality based on the direction the directors wants to portray them as instead of using the source material from the comics which captures the character in live action perfect.
@@bandhere728 yea im still enjoying it as much as i can, but some of the scenes they leave me thinking what the hell are the writers doing with the show, this season started strong so i started rooting for them and even told my friends who dropped out watching it to pick it up again but they came back to the bad writing the very next episode, im thinking about making a drinking game out of this season where everytime they say leveled up i take a shot maybe ill enjoy it more when im waisted

Also same I had friends who enjoyed the arrowverse but since were all adults we kinda see how the writing and direction of the show has gone downhill and they pretty much dropped the shows all together. But yes I definitely want to take a shot every time someone on the flash say “LEVEL UP” 😂 it like alright we get it and if I was actor on that show I would tell the other cast members that so annoying to say.
That guy in episode 8 appeared before in season 4 during the episode Iris got powers. Which that guy got powers from a transfer meta that transferred powers
Some of the time travel stuff confused me but I reason that since they've changed universe the new time travel physics have changed and that's why things are different

@1:00 yeah they’ve been working with a different lady learning to cut the episodes or something like Stargirl episode one and two was cut not ideally also. Like they lost all the sticky notes on their monitor. I’m pretty sure the Impulse and XS one was suppose to be all mixed in Armageddon. Like it was suppose to be dual unrelated story lines but couldn’t figure out all the clips but had the run times.
What if Ellegra gets framed for that girls death, I honestly think that's where it's going cause that's the only good way it can go. Like serial killer kills her next due to that scene and another easy person to frame
When did Jessi Quick interact with impulse? I thought it was Kid Flash and her? Also when was the last time Barry and Iris kissed on screen? Is the chemistry gone?
CW isn't the best with making the canon pairs work on screen. The same thing happened with Oliver and Dinah or Lorrel, I hated the chemistry. but Oliver and Felicity works so maybe something else could have happened here?
Even if norna was aged down, she'd still have a problem.. She is around 30... She acts about 7-10... That just does NOT fit. Because she looks like a full-grown adult but acts every bit of a LITTLE child... What's worse is that everyone acts like she's the "kid"... Which really makes no sense... When she FIRST appeared she looked about the same age as her "parents" maybe a LITTLE younger or actually older. So the show is taken as camp now? The series makes so much more sense now... Just "nothing matters", good they finally admitted it.. Well that helps Um if Iris is "gone" then shouldn't impulse and nora be "gone" too since they wouldn't get born?... So I'm not really sure about that (actually shouldn't one or both actually be BORN by now?... Not sure about that one, so I could be wrong there).
I don’t like Zach Braf but it would definitely be a missed opportunity if they don’t cast him as Ted Cord and have him and Booster live it up in at least Legends. Legends this past season was a bit off but it was still good overall. The time bar episode was one of the best in the season. I basically watch flash at this point now out of invested habit since I watched it season it first premiered.
I really liked episode 6 and 8 and 7 was entertaining. Not the best for 7 but its alright so far i like it. Next episode starts the next "graphic novel"
