I think this run should’ve just focused on Dylan being the new Venom, and had Eddie as a side character.

It’s definitely a book that’s better read as a trade or as a binge session on Marvel Unlimited.

We cant have Carnage reproduce, that makes the Venom symbiote a grand father. It ages the character.

i love this entire venom run tbh but man the monthly release sucks with how complicated the plot is

I actually really like this story. Toruń’s carnage combined with this has been awesome.

They did put in out in the story with a line saying Sometimes you have this power othertimes you'll lose it alowing future writers to decide if they want to do lethal protecter venom, king in black, or whatever crazy thing they come up with him next.

Been loving the Ewing Venom post hitch leaving and hyped for Venom War

Personally prefer the white anti venom suit, granted my favorites Spider-Man suit is his Future Foundation suit so you can tell where my priorities are 😅

If you want a real pallete cleanser that's also a really good run then i recommend Moon Knight by jed mckay, it's amazing with great art and i hope you eventually do a video about it.

I'm pretty sure I've say through episodes of Benny talking about how comics refuse to move forward and return to the status quo, but he's talking about how it sucks that Venom keeps moving forward. I know it's more multifaceted and you're allowed to want something and also still hold that want to a standard of quality. But Benny would hate pro wrestling and soap opera. Those are NOTHING BUT forward storytelling and you may NEVER get what you had a decade, a year, or a week ago. Ask Joel on this one.

Venom the king in black arc is a good story Eddie Brock and Dylan brock realationship is realistic Eddie is not perfect his heart is their but he make mistake and his goal is to Try to fix it To Eddie killing is easy but been a father he struggles

Paul Jenkins gave Eddie cancer. Nobody ever remembers that story. It reveals that symbiotes feed off Adrenalin which I don't think was carried forward.

Why does it seem Sal is not open to read a book if his initial thoughts early is it's not good

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt this. I followed Venom from King in Black through the current series but when Carnage pops out I just closed the book and walked away. I haven't cared about Carnage since roughly thr 90s

It’s amateur hour in the writing rooms at Marvel. I feel like Marvel now writes for the purpose of seeding plots for the MCU instead of telling compelling stories.

Minus the Dyaln becomes the new Venom, & Eddie's new badass red design, this run is just poorly done. But what do you expect from a comic being edited by Zeb Wells? 🤮

Benny’s surface level understanding of everything and ignoring and bulldozing of stuff Sal says is getting tiring at this point

i think there's a couple of valid points, but overall this discussion screams "super hero youtuber". and what i mean is that you focus a lot, almost everything on the plot, because that's your job, cause you make videos recapping super hero plots. i'm on par with this venom run, and even i found it hard to listen to 15 minutes of plot beats. but comics aren't made to be turned into youtube recaps. they're made to be read. you can read an issue every month, you can accumulate issues, you can read the volumes or an omnibus, but most important you can read them more than once and at your own pace. i read this run over the course of 3 years, it's crazy to think you can squeeze it in less than 20 minutes of monologue and make sense of everything without either getting things wrong or forgetting details. even the most simple comic on earth, recapped like this, would seem weird and confusing.

Marvel really needs a reboot. My head hurt just trying to follow Benny explanations.
