Actually season 1 was ok. Then she got mad at everyone for not telling her Barry was the flash and threw a huge fit. After that she got better during season 2. Then during season 3 with the whole Savitar thing it turned her character into crap. I don’t think iris should have been killed not HR. then season 4 was annoying like in this video. Season 5 is dumb because iris is just dumb. Nora hates her and I don’t blame her.

I can't thank you enough for this. I was rooting for Savitar to end iris every episode of that season and when it happened I thought... Finally. Just to see that Harrison had died in her place. As someone mentioned earlier in the comments other speedsters were able to kill the other members of Barry's family; his mom, his dad but Savitar couldn't end Iris?

yep. We did fine most of season 1 with Iris just being a reporter and basically just writing pieces to encourage people, and give them hope. Which is a good thing, but she kinda stopped doing that when she became the "boss" of Team Flash.

Iris also ruined Barry's relationship with Linda Park out of jealousy by telling Linda Barry still had feelings for her because just like Lana Lang did in Smallville when she got jealous when Clark dated other women even when Lana was dating other men Iris expected Barry to pine for her until she was ready to date him. Then in Season 4 Iris who knew nothing about any of the science Team Flash did and spent most of her time being kidnapped, held hostage and nearly killed by their enemies somehow becomes the leader. Then the stupid "We're The Flash" line. No Iris Barry's The Flash. Her trying to take credit for things Barry did was really arrogant. Iris also thought that her and Barry's wedding was more important than stopping The Thinker, a threat to the whole city. But she was at her worst in Season 5, thinking Nora should be able to stay in the present even though she'd ruin the timeline, telling Sherloque Wells not to tell her about anything he found out about Nora then when he found out Nora was working with Thawne she bitched about Sherloque not telling her. Then there was how utterly naive Iris was thinking that Thawne had changed and turned good just because he was helping Nora stop Cicada when he hadn't changed, was still evil and was only helping Nora so Cicada's dagger would be destroyed in the present so it couldn't be used to keep him from using his powers so they could execute him in the future. And during an argument with Barry Iris showed what a horrible person she really is by saying she didn't care that Thawne had killed Barry's mother. I actually laughed when Thawne smiled evilly at Iris before he sped off at the end of Season 5. You can tell he was thinking "I hate your husband because I didn't get to be a hero like him and you still thought you could trust me?"

Most people don't see it because at least the first 2 seasons, she was rarely in StarLabs or the Team Flash scenes and that dynamic is the heart of the show. The reason why Seasons 3 and 4 failed is because it took Iris, a character completely foreign to that element, and shoved her into all those scenes, thereby dumbing down and nerfing all the scientists and the Flash himself. Now, people are spinning it as if the show overall is bad and the poor writing of Iris is just a by-product, when in reality SHE is the very reason the writing went to shit.

Just think of all the things she ruined with the mind games and jealousy she brought into Barry's life just in the first two seasons.

Right, I never liked the character because she always seemed low-key bitchy and egotistical. The only part of Barry I never liked in Season 1 were his scenes with Iris because it made him a selfish jerk who stalked her and tried to interfere with her relationship with Eddie. But all the other stuff about the show was so positive and well done: Barry's relationship with every character not named Iris and the Team Flash scenes made the show a hit. And now giving Iris more facetime is ruining it.

Chris J season 2 was the best tho. Apart from the reverse flash plot, season 1 minivillan per episode was getting kind of boring. Overall when he discovered new poweres has been the best parts of the show. Season 3 was downhill, villian story felt weak, overall storyline was boring and there was too much wally and jesse, its the Flash not Flash and his friends. Season 4 started okay with the devoe arc but it went boring, cringey and predictable.
