Starting from "FLASH IS BACK." video 3 weeks ago, 2 Flash games --> 1 non-Flash game --> 21 Flash games --> 1 non-Flash game --> 1 Flash game (we are here) Let's see how long the Flash video streak lasts this time.
The wraith was really god, completely shut down the first reaver. And thinking ahead targeting the shuttle with the marines quite some time before the actual encounter with the wraith. It is really interesting to see different approaches and evolving strategies. You are right artosis, this is a one in a lifetime chance to see how flash integrates into the new meta (/era?). You can cast flash games all day long, I´ll keep watching! 🙂
@@zhuzhong74 kinda agree. Shutting down the initial shuttle play is nice, but it has a cost. He tried to make it more worth by building that dropship afterwards, which was a cute idea and almost worked.. but yeah.
@@EB-bl6cc I wondering if it's balanced against the amount of SCVs/Tanks that a shuttle+reaver could be expected to kill in the hands of someone like Snow. If the dropship isn't spotted then I could see some Probes being killed. That said, the dropship was hanging out there in the middle of that area for a while and not hidden at all.
Man it's so cool to watch these playstyles involving constantly trading armies, but you know if you try to do it you will just get rolled over due to inefficiency. SnOw is so good.
crazy to think that even though flash had the worst opening situation, he managed to get through by never forgetting to click on his command center to make SCV's when I last played, I had a decently high APM, but in super stressful situations like that, I would slowly start to forget to make SCV's while defending
Imagine being Flash and being like "ok I finally ended that gateway unit rush! ....but now Snow reavers are coming" living a nightmare. I do think if Flash had just turtled his high ground, maybe put some turrets up, and got his third maybe he could have made it a game, but Snow probably would have just gotten his 6th base at that point.
Why don't people simply build 1-2 wraiths to counter shuttle-reaver drops? Research invisibility and they are very likely to survive. Only use them for that if the protoss continues to use shuttle-reaver. Aside from that they'd make good scouts and do worker harassment.
I’m pretty sure after Flash returned he was like “meta shmeta” - I’m going to find out what really works. And knowing how methodical he is, he probably was just playing X games of each build to gather some data to analyze it. OK, like 50 upgrade terran games gave me y% winrate. Now let’s see what a 6-fact approach can yield. And from that data he can derive what really works and come up with a meta-changing build.
we are watching his ladder matches after a long break from the game. Takes awhile to get back in shape and this is just free practice for him. He wouldn't be laddering so much if he was in tournament shape.
I think BW is solved at this point. PvT is favoring Protoss and as long as Protoss doesn't make stupid mistakes Terran gets bullied like this. Flash has microed and macroed well but Snow was able to keep trading efficiently and when Terran doesn't get to a critical mass they can't do much. Same with ZvP is favored to Zerg and it has been solved for Zerg's game to win as long as zerg doesn't make stupid mistakes. Protoss margin for error is much less than Zerg and likewise Terran's margin for error is much less than Protoss.
Your commentary is decent but I think I genuinely prefer Falcon Paladins brood war replays. He usually tries to add some light hearted comedy to his videos. You surprisingly seem to take the game a tad bit more seriously by comparison. Again it all comes down to one’s own preference.
Flash cant focus shuttle with golis ? And pushing 3 goons with 1 tank and 2 marines? Pushing at 14 min with 3 tanks? Cant wait when its gonna show up its some Icarus tier terran
Snow is on a different league a different league than other protoss when it comes to tvp, and a different league than any terran at the moment I'm sorry for Arty, after years of lauding Flash as the best terran in the world, he now has to come to terms with the fact that Flash is fallible. He's been outpaced by the current meta and is refusing to adapt
