To be fair, Barry hasn't worked with Black Lightning too much. He probably doesn't know that BL powers his abilities by electric absorption as opposed to generation.

the writing on this show is bad. Jefferson doesn't have super speed, whether he has lightning or not, he shouldn't have been able to do that. also, Barry doesn't exist. He's a fictional character. who are you talking to and why do people keep questioning scenes from a fictional character as if he is consciously making these decisions? this is just more bad writing from a show that is full of bad writing decisions.

In the comics, my favorite moment with him was Black lighting speculating about a future where he would become a leader in the superhero community, standing alongside people like Wonder-woman and superman as essentially a new trinity. It's something that Is different but also deserving for the best Black hero in comics.

Just like Oliver, Jeff has been in the superhero game a lot longer than Barry. Even longer than Oliver since he got his powers at a young age. He’s the second best mentor for Barry when times get hard.

The Barry Allen in the comics is 30+ and does not act this way (even though he makes similar rash decisions). tldr; The Flash is not meant to be a teenage Peter Parker.

@@randomuser2409 well yes he’s originally not from earth 1, but when post crisis happened, people who aren’t paragons got a new memory like they lived on earth prime their entire lives, and then Martian manHunter restored their previous lives memories giving them two memories. Though it’s a bit inconsistent as some characters do not remember their lives after crisis when they got their memories restored like everyone on team flash while team arrow got two new memories one with their lives after crisis and one before crisis, and the final episode of arrow confirmed that Diggle remembers a memory that happened during the events of season 1 post crisis.

@@Tradetek1 oh ok. But the earth they’re on isn’t earth 1 I believe. I looked it up multiple times and it says in all DC media, comics, cartoons, tv shows, and movies that Earth 1 was a dead earth. Literally DEAD. I don’t know how it got that way but it’s not the original despite being 1. It’s weird idk. Maybe I looked at the wrong thing.

It makes sense Barry would gravitate towards Jefferson. Aside from the obvious abilities, Jeffereson clearly reminds Barry of Joe in every good way. Their relationship developing as it has seems so natural within the context of the show because of it, I love it.

So essentially barry's not really going crazy, it's just that Thawne is messing with the timeline and Barry didn't know and because of the speed force, still had the memories of pre thawne messing with time and doesn't know about these changes. That's why Barry when he fought that one chick teleported to Joe's house and didn't know Joe was dead.

This was a fight I’ve wanted to see for awhile. But it wasn’t the fight that surprised me, it was the fact that Jefferson showed true leadership in this moment. He understood what Injustice meant, but he understood that taking Barry’s powers away wouldn’t solve anything. And it was the moment he used his famous line as a teaching method for Barry that I knew he had become like a new mentor to Barry. It was also when Barry and Jefferson destroyed Oliver’s memorial that I thought “is this what Oliver would want for you Barry and if so why in the world did he sacrifice himself to save you and Kara of you were just going to run away from your problems instead of running towards them and facing them head on.”

Oliver Queen may be gone, but at least Black Lightning and other heroes are still alive. These heroes are able to pass on wisdom, that Barry needs to hear every now and then.

The reason for that was electromagnetism. When Barry throw the lightning at Jefferson, he actually manipulate the electricity from it and guiding it away from him before launching it back to Barry with his mind. Zoom's case was different because he caught Barry's lightning with his bare hands and throw it back at him. These two situations are entirely different.

I remember when name dropping and easter eggs and references to comics/games like injustice in these shows made me feel something.. the good old times

Hey I picked up on something. When Laurel (E1) died, they made a statue to her. But it was destroyed by Black Siren (Laurel E2) and a new Black Canary later emerged and then two of them. I wonder if there was a meaning behind the Arrow memorial getting smashed. I know Mia is appearing soon, but I can't help but think that there might be plans in the pipe for a new Arrow (or someone similar) in Barry's time. Now whether that is Mia coming here and staying, or someone else that's not appeared yet, idk
