I always thought the ending would be the flash returning to 2014 and choosing the lightening to strike HIM and therefore the flash would have created himself..
Thawnes thirst for power would have always made him what he is. This shows that any small moment he felt robbed he would’ve amplified with a petty rage until he turned into a sadistic killer.

There are many version of thawne as well as barry, thawne in the future before he time travel to the past and got stuck then become harry wells, and another version of barry appear in the same place when they time travel. This time travel shit got more complicated😂.
The world is so big that reverse flash could've been another savior in Europe, africa, Japan or somewhere else chaos is eveywhere. Reverse flash could have teamed up with barry being another flash somewhere else never being his rival.

The space shuttles go mach 22 when leaving earth and we have a record of mach 514 for objects in space. Mach 20 is impressive for a super human to run but it's not like an insane number to be used when talking about causing the end of the world. 😂😂
