Flashing the firmware of a Studio 5000 Controllogix processor like a 1756-L7 or a 1756-L8 processor is generally straight forward in ControlFlash. This video shows the exact process of why it is not somewhat out of the norm than it should be.
The firmware for flashing a processor to Studio 5000 version 31 to Studio 5000 Version 32 is slightly different so this is why we made this video, to help.

I have control flash 15 version, but this will show only micro 800 series devices only, how can I add compact logic L19 in this.?

Does the controller keep the same IP address through the firmware update? Based on the video, it looks like it does.

Firmware version should be same as the studio 5000 version that the program has been writing with? If I have written my program in version 32 then firmware can't be lower than that right?

Thanks for the videos. Hopefully you an save me a Tech support call. I have a 1756-L73S currently at v20 I want to make the jump to v34. I recall v21 was the no going back leap. Can I make that big of a jump. v20 to v34???

Okay I have the same Control Flash 15.01, and a 1756-L71/B ,But I can only flash up to revision 31.011 not 32 why?

You skipped the whole part where I am having a issue, I cant seem to be able to build or find the catalog so I'm stuck, any tips? over here pulling my hair out
