Your palm baskets are beautiful and looking at the start of the video bending the palm I thought that would be amazing for a rustic journal cover. Your long videos are the best. You and your husband are amazing artists. Thank you for sharing.

So happy to see you back on the table ! We have 4 royals in our yard so I have lots of supplies for this one ! lol I made a wall basket from them a few years ago but will definitely give this a try ! I really like how you wrapped the top ! ❤

What a great video, love this little basket. Sure does strengthen your hand muscles doesn’t it? How many times have you poked yourself with the needle? I’d be a bloody mess. lol.

Always love seeing your new creations,someone I saw somewhere made buttons out of avocado pits,they would look lovely on your baskets, I did think it has to be hard to sew do you still have the cropadile?

I have made baskets in the past( another life it seems) it is hard on hands and one must have strong hands and fingers to do the hard labor. And then to get moisture back into your skin! Maybe you have a barrel of palm oil? Good luck on this endeavor…

i am not finding these palms drying at all jayne...but...i will be aware! as far as strong? you betcha...my left hand is as important as the right...they are truly working together to hold things in place and stitch! yep...the left hand needs to know what the right hand is doing!!! what kind of baskets did you play with jayne?

@@lorrimarie2002 I made the traditional baskets from 1/4 inch reeds and some 1/2 inch with some twine mixed in. All shapes and sizes , some with handles some without. My neighbor and I made around a hundred 8 inch round ones as table prizes for a fundraiser. We both decided basket weaving would not be our permanent hobby!
