However you see somebody flatroofing around the world I always come to conclusion best roofers according to way of work, regulations, details etc are German roofers... ... Best training education by practice and lessons and a centurylasting tradition... .... Many roofs in Europe are in original shape and best condition and older than American or canadian history...

nice to see good work, i do flat roofing in ns. modified,epdm and pvc's. it's nice to see that someone else takes pride in thier work. yes degranulation, i like!!
@BUSTRCHERRI
@BUSTRCHERRI 8 лет назад
degranulating is so overrated its not even funny. the same heat used to bond the top cap to the ply/seam underneath is more than enough heat to degranulate at the same time. try it sometime on wall stripping and see for yourself.

Looks ok, try standing on the other side of the roll and push it foreword with one foot, constantly putting pressure on the roll, so the bitumen can really vulcanise. And a hugh plus is that you're not walking backwards so you won't fall over any obstacles or into openings
@puprilla
@puprilla 6 лет назад
Mens Ink haha right hes not even burning the L and hitting the lap hes just smoking the roll out its to hot forsure
@justbreakingballs
@justbreakingballs Год назад
Your not meant to ever walk on freshly torched felt, walking behind rolling with a foot is 100% the wrong way. You are supposed to roll it out with a cane like shown here.

have you tried nailing the base layer up side down at 9 inch ctrs, you have bitumen on bitumen and don't need as much heat on the area, just the lap, it's vented from the deck,for timber decks only,I tried it years ago and it works fine,black glass fibre drip to eaves,bonded to base layer and nailed the cap sheet bonded to trim.

Your roll should be rolled tighter for a more consistent bleed out .... I can give many more tips on your torching and I would only rate you as a 6 out of 10 ... keep learning

Allin Benyamin typical roofer thinks he knows best. His bleed out was above average from what I’ve seen. I didn’t like the way he did his end lap but everyone does there shit a little differently

Is this top layer to soft to stand on when its hot or is this just a different way of torching ive only seen videos of. Seems legit
@wscraney
@wscraney 7 лет назад
Moerakski yes the torch down well still be hot and soft to walk on. always use a pull stick. i c alot wanana be torchers walking on torchdown and kicking it the same time. this guy did a good job. union roofers kick ass.
@BUSTRCHERRI
@BUSTRCHERRI 6 лет назад
If you walk on the product when it's hot you'll with push in all the granules (tiny colored rocks) or they'll be stuck to the bottom of your shoes in a big hot mess. You can walk on it after about ten minutes depending on the temperature outside
@agustinpadilla3609
@agustinpadilla3609 6 лет назад
Don't heat up too much the middle part so u can walk on it but I think this method is better using the stick
