Fleas - Jam #60 - [Jamuary 2024] 

I usually steer clear of 4/4 rhythms on the modular but this time whilst trying out running some beats into Rings, i came up with this and I'm really glad I did. Very simple but great fun to play with.
You're listening to a pretty steady beat coming from the vpme.de quad that's split in two. One half is audible, the other is "exciting" Rings. There's a droning bass from XPO running into ripples. The frequency is modulated by a steady LFO from Maths which runs through the VCA before hitting ripples. I use an envelope to open this up infrequently so the "wobs" aren't always there. The melody part is made using pluck. Funny really. I bought Rings to replace Pluck. Within two days i'm using them together and considering keeping both.
