We need CIVILIAN versions of this camera to be used as a dash cam.

Nice! Now Axon just needs to sell their cameras to the public (With small software changes of course) so that everyone can have protection! I use the AB2, but I would love for the AB3 to finally be sold to the public.

Curious how the 135mph plate 'read' wasn't shown. The plate was captured but was it correct? I can capture a plate with my cell phone but that doesn't mean it'll interpret the characters correctly. The conditions could not have been more perfect for this test. Try it at night, in the rain, with a dirty plate that is partially obstructed by a trailer hitch ball.

Now that's some tech the big cities need! One question though. What if a plate comes in as stolen, but the ALPR pings the plate correctly but from a different state? Will it know?

Without an image of the person driving at that speed, the plate isn't useful for a crime. City's want the money of course, so it will wind up being a civil matter=no image of the lawbreaker, civil ticket to the owner. Seem fair?

It's very impressive but feels overly invasive. While I'm pro cop, I'm also pro rights and reasonable expectations. It's one thing if it's registering an image for speeding.. I.E. it observes a crime to initiate an investigate.. It's an entirely different matter when It treats every passing car as suspect. Comparable supreme court logic is how cops can't have K9's in use at a license check.. It's an unreasonable search that goes above and beyond the initial identification of a crime. I'm on the fence with these machines from a constitutional perspective because where does camera/AI law enforcement draw the line.. Or should I expect to have a social credit score soon too like in China?

Now... How to defeat hmmmmm
