@@alexriggerson5715 it is a sprite animation and yeah just look up sonic.exe vs fleetway sonic but there muiltpy animations so um shit that's all I got
The thing that interests me about fleetway sonic, is that he's the only sonic character I know that actually "killed" anyone. Even Eggman doesn't kill, and he makes animals work for him against their will. Edit: forgot about the fact that Maria died because of GUN
Fleetway Super Sonic also interests me for similar reasons, but on the topic of Sonic characters that have killed, you have Mephiles the Dark which straight up killed Sonic during a scene in Sonic 06
The first time I encountered this character was possibly 7 or so years ago with a RU-vid video of screenshots from the comic and Animal I Have Become playing in the background. Those were the days.
Earlier today I looked up all sonic forms and this 1,the fleetway stood out the most. He is a very interesting character. I'm glad a video like this is out here to explain this character.
It's funny how opposite the Fleetway comics were, Sonic was insufferable around pretty much everyone except for Kintobar, and all the friends he had were extremely kind souls who never caused any trouble or had bitter rivalries with Sonic, they were extremely loving towards this hedgehog who deserved none of it. In the main series and Archie this is practically the opposite, except his friends aren't straight up evil like he was, but I swear everyone in the main series or Archie has hated Sonic for one reason or another, and in those cases he barely deserved it.
Fleetway’s Sonic the Comic had by far the most unique and fresh takes on the characters. I love how Sonic is a jerk, Tails is a coward and liar, Knuckles is a serious loner and not comic relief in the slightest, etc.
i honestly would love it if fleetwat sonic broke free from sonic but somehow had all the crazyness taken out of him and returns to his good self but to also keep his powers. it would be so cool to see him reunite with his friends and even become's friends with sonic and others.😌
That’s not how this universe works. The Chaos emeralds literally suck evil out of the atmosphere. Which is why when Sonic got exposed to Chaos Energy, the same evil was transferred to him. Super Sonic is literally the embodiment of evil.
I think that was probably why they went down this road with Super Sonic. An earlier story showed that the chaos emeralds absorb negative energy (a pirate called Captain Plunder steals them and the emeralds turn him and his crew into hippies). So if you power up using the emerald energy, kinda makes sense that it would be concentrated negative energy that you'd be using.
Ahh Broly Sonic..Didn't expect to see him mentioned again. Really cool and underrated character, still feel like a large amount of his duality can still be explored with lore.
@@FTMothman Super Sonic is clearly based off of the Dragon Ball Z Super Saiyan, and in the movies there is a character called Broly. Broly is the “Legendary Super Saiyan” he’s the “true” Super Saiyan, pure evil.
@@victorcapote7376 for me it wasnt just that he was evil... HE ENJOYED IT, making JOKES about not wanting to kill, then BLASTING them with lasers, that to me is, more scary than simply being evil.
@@victorcapote7376 Dark?He goes BEYOND dark the dude is a sadistic hedgehog who gets pleasure by killing/destroying/torturing everyone in the entire universe.
Thank you for dropping this video. Without you I would have never found my FAVORITE Sonic Design. Thank you bro. May make a video about this on my second channel.
fleetway always scared me so much in comics i always had nightmares which he will chase me and sonic and i always had my sonic plush with me cause sonic always saves me in my dreams
Fleetway super sonic is underrated. He's probably my favorite of the evil counter part archetype. His eyes and fangs make him appear like much more of a threat than any badnik sonic has ever faced and unlike metal sonic who became cannon foder this guy is no push over. Bring him back sega it would be so incredibly cool. Also his "redemption arc" was also really wholesome pretty good. and it's true this guy would destroy werehog in seconds. He's that powerful.
@@noseriously2840 nah fleetway sonic ( super form) is MUCH stronger than DBZ buu and hyper sonic DOES exsist and he unfornately would clap everyone maybe exept Angels , grand priest , zenos and other Angel+ charaters and he will have problems with Goku , vegeta ,broly , jiren , etc
Honestly, the Chaos Emeralds' energy having a negative effect and driving whatever/whomever channels it to insanity/chaos makes sense. In the games, despite the chaos emeralds being emeralds of chaos and being powered by chaos energy (considering chaos isn't the nicest, most family friendly form of energy you can think of), which would be the opposite of any order or rationality, the emeralds never have an adverse effect on Sonic when he uses/channels their power.
So then, that explains why shadow can tap more on the chaos side of the emeralds, you know like chaos spear, chaos control... I mean he was loosing his identity and promise to maria until the end. But learned to control those powers and even the super form with a strong will
Is "chaos emeralds" even an fitting name for it anymore? Hell power emeralds is probably a more fitting label cause they never really have anything chaotic associated with them. There mostly either just used as either batteries or just a power boost with like ZERO downsides. With Fleetway Super Sonic it at least makes the "chaos" title of the chaos emeralds more fitting. Like yeah it gives you this great power boost, but you're fucking nuts!
Well, The Sonic The Comic in the UK made Sonic and the cast a bit different in terms of character motives, attitudes, and development, Like how Sonic is a bit different and instead of being a full nice heroic guy, he is a bit of a jerk but a hero none of the less, Tails is a coward mostly but throughout the comics, he became a well respected hero like Sonic, Amy used to be like herself from the games, from loving Sonic to be a badass freedom fighter, Porker and Johnny are Sonic's allies, while Eggman/Robotnik is a menacing yet damn good of a bad guy, Fleetway Super Sonic is born from Sonic's negative emotions and evil chaos radiation/energy. .3.
to this day fleetway's take on sonic is still my favourite. it feels so risky, especially with over 25 years of insight into how sonic was commonly written later. of course, other sonic media took plenty of risks with the character, but i haven't found one as extreme as this one. i liked this sonic so much that it bled into how i wrote the character myself, and i didn't even notice until a friend pointed it out to me! 😂
In the Fleetway Comic, Chaos Emeralds only gave negative Chaos Energy, and the Master Emerald was the only one capable of giving positive energy. That's why Super Sonic was evil. It's not something that can be controlled, without the Master Emerald.
In a way ,Fleetway Super Sonic is kind of the original Sonic.exe from an alternate Canon. And it was this development is reason why I like him better than EXE, and why I always want to see a epic duel between them ;and I got one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2SzrYbImiEk.html
So dark sonic is sonic with his inhibitions lowered( the middle ground ), and fleetway Sonic is when his inhibitions are totally gone. He is the end result, Sonic’s Id unrestrained. Definitely makes Sonic more interesting as a character. God, why don’t the games explore stuff like this?
I love this design so goddamn much. Would be fun if he'd ever be in a mod for, like, minecraft or any relevant game there currently is. That'd just be the dream.
“WHO’S GOD NOW?!” “THAT BLOOD CRYING FAKER’S GOT NOTHING ON ME!!!” “Imagine being an executable file. Heh, couldn’t be me…” I really didn’t expect him to be in FNF
I've always loved Jekyll and Hyde inspired stories. The duality and the fact we all have a monster hidden in all of us. But even monsters can have a heart. Fleetway Sonic's redemption arc proves just that.
Oh man I’ve always loved Fleetway Super Sonic. I love his insane and psychotic personality, his cunningness, and his desire to cause destruction. His redemption arc was really cute and wholesome, though I also loved the fact that he went back to being evil.
I don't remember but it was in the Fleetway original before they went bust. It was referenced in the fan contiuation when Johnny cones back as a vengeful zombie. But I think it's the bit where Super Sonic is sent to the special zone.
2:32 I'd say "The VOID" from marvel is a better description Sentry and the void are 2 halves of the same whole With sentry being the good persona and Void being the bad With both sides constantly being in a war to take over Robert Reynolds body
No. In the Fleetway STC universe, the Chaos Emeralds absorb evil out of their surroundings. When Sonic absorbs their energy by accident, that same evil the Chaos Emeralds absorbed is simply transferred to Sonic. So Sonic is filled with pure evil, as well as Chaos power. Super Sonic is a literal embodiment of Evil. In fact, the reason he later becomes so sweet and docile is because he later is unable to store chaos and energy, so the evil literally leaks out of him. Sadly, this also means that he’s starting to die and wither away, since he’s literally comprised of chaos energy. Super is not Sonic without inhibitions. He’s an entirely separate, independent being that only shared a physical body with Sonic briefly.
Saiyan Scholar Thank you very much! Always great to see more channels getting exposure to Super Sonic and STC! Enjoy your DB videos too! Keep up the great work.
Fleetway Super Sonic's a cool character, one of my favourite clichés is good guys gone bad and FSS basically does that and then some with his development including his redemption. Makes me wonder what if the comics started after S3K - Would a Fleetway *Hyper* Sonic exist? Or if the series continued - Like would we see a Fleetway Darkspine Sonic? Would be pretty neat anyway.
I really fear of Fleetway Hyper Sonic, because the insane amount of chaos energy would make his behavior even more extreme. Though on the other hand, I can see Fleetway Super Sonic trying to become Hyper, but unlike his Super form, it requires perfect control and calm mind (like Super Saiyan Blue for example), so Super Sonic would try to control and calm himself so he would be able to transform. Given he turned good once, he could likely train to control himself to achieve Hyper form
Except that Sega insists that Hyper form was only for S3&K, and it will never reappear. The Master Emerald could Power him up, but it can also shut him down. If Knuckles used it to reverse SS' Energy polarity, from negative to positive, then he'd be good permanently, but that never happened, because plot.
Soma Cruz the Demigod of Balance "because plot" Fleetway isn't Archie, you expect Knuckles to hold down Super Sonic when he could barely fight Perfect Chaos how again?
Sonic never went Hyper in the official comics, but he finally does it in StC Online (issue 275) and while he's more powerful than Super Sonic, he keeps his normal Sonic personality
I remember seeing this in the comics of the Sonic Mega Collections on my PS2 and it legit had me shook. To me, this dude was the original Scourge before I discovered Scourge and the Zone patrol arc.
hey guys I said he from fnf for the 738373th time, aren't i a funny epic troll baiter and not just as stupid if not more than just innocent children who didn't understand? Epic gamer sus moment amiright gamers?
Damn, did not expect such a story around this character. I only ever read the mainline Archie Sonic comics online maybe a decade ago and saw this monster when Sonic absorbed some emeralds on a faraway planet when trying to get home. I was so intrigued but never tried to look up the character until this video came in my feed. Thanks for making it.
I always felt that Fleetway Super Sonic was always miss understood. He has good in him it's just power corrupts the pure. Just look at Broly from Super a pure soul who get turn crazy when he access his powers.
I'm guessing the power is like an addiction. You've could have intentions deep inside but the addiction of power could screw with your mindset so hard that you stop caring about others and maybe yourself.
If you get power too quickly you might become corrupted by it, and the sense of "I gotta have more." Sometimes you just need a gradual increase in power so you you don't go onto a pure power trip

Glad you mentioned this but to fans who probably don't know of this, Super Sonic is his own seperate character in Sonic R and looks the same in comics in the Pre-Genesis Wave but with an ominous smile Sonic has, he has different lines than Sonic in the Sonic Riders franchise even shouting "Ugh!" instead of "Whooa!" with a deeper voice which is done in all three games AND lastly if you stay in Sonic X 'til Season 3, Sonic thanks Super Sonic for keeping him alive after the first battle with Meterax and later while Shadow is recovering in this capsule-like bed, Eggman tells Rouge about Super Shadow and I'm not joking, you'll see Sonic and Eggman talk about these two forms like they're different individuals.
If he's that strong imagine it if sonic reached hyper form and not being able to mantain his personality thank god sonic still mantained his sanity when he transformed in hyper in sonic the comic online
@@wellingtonafonsodecarvalho9842 Yeah, hyper form is just so much stronger than super form that Hyper Fleetway would've probably been able to destroy planets like Jupiter (in my little research I found that, yes, Fleetway would've probably been able to destroy Earth if he just used all of his power or drained some chaos energy from master emerald)
@@maxmanchik he can also go to the center of the planet to make a volcano appear or even use his massive physical strength and throw the fucking moon on the planet

@@paperprince2953 well, I didn't know that, but it's still technically fanmade. Just as how Mania is still a fangame despite the official Sonic 2 team helping out with development.
Considering it's basically confirmed via Sonic Adventure that the Chaos Emeralds have both negative and positive energy, it could be that Fleetway Super Sonic's stress-induced changes brought out the negative, hateful side of the Emeralds. It's totally plausible that that form of Super Sonic could exist if Sonic were less in control of his emotions.
As far as I know in the Fleetway universe the energy in the Chaos Emeralds is essentially pure evil in the form of energy, there is no positive side to them in that universe.

If you think about it, Fleetway Super Sonic was the original Nazo. A being born from pure negative Chaos energy with only the desire to kill and destroy, the two characters are very similar in origin.
Fleetway Sonic. Damn, nostalgia. Legit my favorite character that is- well, I guess kind of canon? I love his personality and design, and the redemption arc was better than an anime plot twist. If Sega ever actually made a damn game based off of this monster, I'd love it.
Wow Fleetway Super Sonic is more interesting than I thought, I already really liked the idea of an evil Super Sonic but to find out he tried to be a good person was really compelling!
Idk why but Fleetway sonic is my favorite sonic characters rn because he's an legendary og of the sonic franchise (unlike sonic exe 😶) Do.....do I need therapy?!🤣
How are you going to call him the “true” super sonic when he only existed in the UK comics? Seems pretty uncannon to me or at least cannon to a separate version that isn’t the globally accepted series
@@arc7375Not much to really cry about for him though is there? Fleetway is one of the few who fall into the absolutely non canon category. Along with Sonic satAM and Sonic Underground. So looks to me like the only one fixing to cry here is you 🤷 Here's another fun fact for you to cry about. Game Sonic would ABSOLUTELY wreck Fleetway 👍
It's a shame. I was happy to see the original killer Sonic get some love, but now all the kids are going to think he's a Friday Night Funkin' character.
Ah yes the Broly of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, except he wanst doing it for a crying baby. I'd say Super Sonic is much more dangerous, too, he's self aware and very cunning instead of going just berserk About Amy dodging him, he is well known for massively holding back for the fun of it, think less Goku and more namek saga Goku, that's him. Also about his feats, I think one often left out when talking about him is he escaping his time-stop prison and the fact that he is confirmed by the writers to be much more powerful than Robotnik when he possessed the emeralds as the most powerful being in the comic, and the guy reshaped the multiverse at will! And it makes sense, he's pure chaos energy with Sonic's form rather than just a human being powered by it. To finish off my ranting, as a fan of the Fleetway Comics myself, I highly recommend you to look up FelipeYuski's 20th anniversary animation remake of the first Running Wild chapter, as well DedGrafic's sprite animations on Super Sonic against Sonic.Exe, they're all on point. Lastly, thank you very much for making this video.
@@lightgivemepower6425 It was VS Wiki article on Fleetway Sonic I must admit that their information often is not accurate, but I believe the writers of the Sonic the Comic did state somewhere that Super Sonic was the most powerful entity there, however I couldnt find the interview Either way we saw that Super Sonic absorbed the power of not only the chaos emeralds but the master emerald(against Mecha Sonic & Knuckles) while god Robotnik used the emeralds and base Sonic is obviously stronger than base Robotnik, so that must be the case
0:25 “this evil entity makes dark sonic look like Amy rose” is genuinely so true, when I compare fleetway super sonic and dark sonic he genuinely feels like Amy rose to me like-
This version of Super Sonic gives Jekyll and Hyde vibe, and sounds like an interesting twist, tho I do like it's origin story of Sonic and Eggman, gives more depth to their relationship.
I can’t believe people down play him in animations, the only form that could even dream to catching up in power would be his dark form, which STILL wouldn’t really work since FLEETWAY can access all Sonics forms and then some
Really cool Sonic design. Looked kind of cringe edgy at first but then found out he had some real depth to the character and all the awesome art for him you can tell he really resonated in a cool way. Awesome video, I loved this.
Have you considered doing a Tails Doll episode? That’s another case of a game character being given a new twist, and a frightening one, even when he eventually showed up in the comic series.
The concept of an evil super form is super interesting. Having your hero being backed into a corner and needing to use, in this case, the super sonic power even though it runs the risk of them going insane is very cool. And it's even cooler that the writers split super sonic apart from sonic and THEN made him a good guy. Super Sonic's ending is kinda tragic actually.
I want Surge to gain a super form in the comics at some point and hers has Fleetway’s spiral eyes. And being a clone of Sonic, her fur could turn blue rather then yellow. Wether the power makes her Fleetway level crazy, or just more cocky, I just want the Swirly Eyes in that design.
The Swirly Eyes can be a side effect of either pure Chaos Energy to more wild or destructive Chaos Energy. Surge may have the potential but I don't know if she has ever tapped into Rings which helps handle Chaos Energy which then is needed to use an Emerald or 7.
