I was in early adolescence when Mac hit it big. Everyone focused on Stevie Nicks and I remember seeing magazine pics of the two of them together. Even then I thought Stevie was hot but Mcvie held a special allure for me. Stevie was too old for me and Mcvie was older than my mother but I still had an attraction for her that was probably not what some people might consider normal. But I loved her music and her voice and I still think Come a Little Bit Closer and Spare Me are two of the most beautiful love songs ever written or performed. IMHO she was the most talented member of one of the most talented bands in the history of pop music.

If I close my eyes ... when this song goes double time at about 3:16 it bears a resemblance to a Grateful Dead "Lovelight" be it Pigpen or Bobby. The heads would be swirling at the back of the floor, like Stevie is. "Don't want love ... just a little bit." So much like a Pigpen rap. Not saying they stole anything ... just drawing a comparison.
