Thanks for joining us to see the technical video fo the Fleming 65. We have just finished a features and performance test video and will be posting those soon. Thanks for watching!
The more I learn about Fleming yachts the more I fall in love with them. Mind you, there‘s a lot of great boat builders out there but I just happen to agree best with Fleming's philosophy of a sea-going vessel, even if it comes with a massive price tag.
They both bring nice things to the table and if you can afford them, you can choose the boat that's right for you. Crossing oceans I go Nordhaven, but the Fleming will do very well at long distance coastal cruising and likley do that a bit better than the Nordhaven. That extra speed really helps with Tidal currents and narrows.
2 thumbs down already. Trolls are just everywhere. Brother have a 94 made 55' sportfisher cabin cruiser. Im familiar with how this type boat ride on the sea 🥰. Smooth and chill and with open aft deck ..
Those 'thumbs down' are from Australians. From their perspective those are actually 'thumbs up'. And if anyone cares or doesn't know, Tony Fleming has posted some great travel vids on the Fleming channel.
Captain Steve is a real professional.he explained the helm and engine room features in the Flemming 65 in such detailed and interesting way. Now I know the the attention to detail that goes into the enginering on the 65 .in this one presentation I have learnt that the Flemming brand represents reassuring quality. Thank you for the experience.
Fantastic short video, any chance of a feature of about 30 mins on some boats like this with perhaps interviews? Keep up the good work, remember longer is better. Thank you 🤗👍
Great I’ve been a subscriber to the daily email for about 4 years and love the content, always positively love your content. Thanks for the feedback from you ⛵️🛥🛳🚤🛶 love it all ❤️🖖
I just realized I appreciate how Capt Steve does all these on the same formula, and in a a very consistent manner. I didn’t expect you would do Fleming yachts. I love so much about them, though I wonder if the redundancy maybe adds so much complexity it defeats itself.
Chances of something going wrong on one of these Flemings is highly unlikely but shit hits the fan when you least expect it like a mid ocean crossing. Imagine that big smile on your face when that moment comes and you realize that not only do you have a plan b but your plan b has a plan c. Even easier. Imagine you’re not on a Fleming and there is no plan b let alone a plan c.
I wonder if the checklist has the option of being green/yellow instead of green/red for those who are red/green colorblind, as my husband is. (Red and green look alike.)
So far Fleming hasn’t has a 78 available for testing, but it’s on their list of boat for us to do. They just need a buyer that can hold off on taking possession of his new yacht. - This is from Capt. Steve. ;)
@@BoatTEST thank you so much Capt Steve..this is the yacht my father explicitly said that I should buy..he attained his captains license early in his lifetime and had a few yachts of his own in southern California..

Compared to similar boats of this size and design by other manufacturers can you (or someone else) please share your thoughts on the Fleming 65's fuel efficiency (GPH @ varied KNOTS). Many Thanks!
Was a RU-vid fan of the Nordhavns for quite a while, and now am an even bigger fan of the Flemings, they seem to be even better than Nordhavns, which is saying a lot. I'd be buying a 65 if money was object, without question.
Alaskan and Marlow as well since they are very similar. In all actuality, the Grand Banks Alaskans ( not in production any more ) were based on the Fleming design and the current Alaskan boats are still identical in appearance from the outside to the Fleming boats.
Fantastic boat and as always another fantastic review by Captain Steve. No need however, for the generic, overly dramatic and occasionally intrusive music playing constantly in the background. We come here to look at beautiful boats and listen to this intelligent man speak and give us his qualified commentary, not to watch a music video.
That proprietary helm system is very nice, but I cringe thinking of what it will be like in 10 years when it's in need of service and obsolete. I have a lot of respect for Flemmings, but I'm old enough to still like simplicity and ease of maintenance.
This was the Technical Video -- we ended up created three separate videos for this model. Test ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5zdXC5YSHxA.html Features Video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_4_frYOusuA.html
