Our second episode of Cruising Freja our Fleming Yachts 65. She's a beautiful trawler yacht helping us make the most of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia as we scuba dive, snorkel and fish our way north.
I just saw this as my first video of your's. I love your energy and your great cinematography skills, as well as your beautiful Fleming 65. I can't wait to see me. Have fun and be well.
This is one the best boating channels I've yet to find on RU-vid. Having a Fleming as the center piece is like icing on the cake. I look forward to seeing your next video..... Keep'm coming. Well done !
I love the balance of content you have included. Boat stuff, panoramic views, food preparation, diving etc. Keep the videos coming, and thank you for sharing that part of the world with us. It's like taking a mini vacation. What a beautiful area to interact with the ocean!
Fantastic videos on a fantastic yard. It’s a dream I’m working on every day with hopes that in four years I’ll be able to jump on board my Fleming yacht.
Amazing drone and videos work! thanks a lot of all the insight details of life onboard! What a treat to follow you guys ! Sharing your good fortune and happiness is such a blessing! Can t wait the following episode of your adventures!
I already watched your video. You are lucky one and take a right choice to buy Fleming yacht. It is a wonderful yacht to enjoy your dream and goal. Congratulations to you for your boat ie fleming yacht and your RU-vid channel. I will explore with you by your video upload. I will eagerly waiting for your video. I already subscribed you channel. I will watch video from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Thank you! I am very glad you enjoyed the video. And yes, the Fleming 65 for us is perfect. It is beautiful to look at but also extremely capable. Bhalo thakben
Cruising Freja , Your Trawler is beautiful & it is very smart to include redundancies for safety & reliability. A good informative video with wonderful B-roll shots. Looking forward to your next video! Namaste.
Made the jump from instagram, so nice to see videos and hear voices! Very cool. Thanks for the battery low down. Really great to see a channel highlighting Australia.
Your videos to date leave us with a feeling we are there, sharing the cruise, welcomed by the Baxters. Looking forward to future experiences, thank you both.
Stumbled on your channel this evening - what beautiful content - I've been to Magnetic Island and the Whitsundays -I did my PADI dive training at Airlie Beach a long time ago now. But very happy memories - Freja is a lovely boat - I'll look forward to the next vlog -
I took delivery of a Fleming 58 this past April. I love her. The midship Master Stateroom is the reason I choose the 58. Year singlehand her, so the 65 is just too big for me. I also have a solar array to keep me more self sufficient.
My God, you are on a Fleming 65! Can life get any better? I doubt it! Enjoy! You are so blessed ❤ PS. I would do an upgrade on your mike. I’ve had to turn it up to 25 to hear you 🌺
Good stuff! Recent subscriber here. I've had my eyes fixed on the Fleming 65 for the last couple of years now. My Mrs and I will retire within 10 years and we should really cruise around the warm parts of world instead of freezing and shoveling snow in the dark winters of Sweden! We've got a Nimbus 365 today that we love, but it lacks the ocean going capabilities of the Fleming and all the redundancy that is the hallmark of any Fleming.
@@cruisingfreja Okay! Thanks for the feedback! The Mrs have always wanted to sail the Göta kanal, but I'm not too keen on that since that means that we need to interact with folks. She does, however, have supernatural power of convincing me to follow her wishes...
Watched your first episode and I commented that my friend and I were getting ready to do the same - i.e. get a boat and start a channel to record our adventures. Well we have made it to Mackay and moved into our new home. Still looking for a suitable boat. Unfortunately we decided that the boat we were going to buy was not quite right for us.Can't wait to get out there. Love these stories, keep up the good work that you guys are doing.
It is wonderful out there as you know. Always a little windy on the QLD coast but plenty of great places to see. We're in Mackay to refuel every now and then. If you use Insta follow @freja_f65 and come and visit
Hi Captains Sienna &John isn't she stunning, the boat I mean, wow did u get her built or buy when finished? We're building a 9m x 2.5m trailerable houseboat to explore all the inland waterways of Australia, she's at lockup stage, now we start on the inside. I'm crazy about boats in all shapes and sizes, and ur channel is classy, elegant and informative so thanks for sharing. All u need now is a little dog😁🇦🇺🌈
Wonderfully detailed information of your beautiful boat. My wife and I are exploring two boats: the Fleming 65 and a Nordhavn 68 Aft helm with no flybridge. Both are magnificent. We are wondering if you explored other boat choices before choosing your Fleming 65? We are also wondering how well your Fleming 65 can handle rougher seas and would you ever feel confident enough to make an ocean crossing (with other boats as part of a rally or a fleet) in your Fleming 65? Many Thanks! Safe journeys!
Hi there, yes we are fully confident in taking Freja through rough seas. Flemings are built to handle well in big seas. We are actually in process of preparing to go over to PNG. It will take us roughly 52 hours to do so. Just the two of us. We did look at a Nordhavn which had some great features but we feel that the Twin engines and lay out of our vessel was better suited for us. Sometimes it's like the boat chooses you. We also looked at a number of other vessels that were bigger and less costly but we have found that what we paid for our Fleming 65 was worth every cent. Regards, Johanna and Nick
Wonderful detailed reply. Thank you! My wife and I very much appreciate your thoughts on this matter. Have a wonderful, safe journey to PNG. Enjoy the Oceanic Art Work!
Thanks for your feedback. It is so valuable to us to receive honest and critical comments. I'll try to amend and we'll review the intro music going forward! Thanks!
I have a detailed spreadsheet on every cent we spend. Not as much as you think and the diesel isnt too bad as it goes a long way especially at 25 litres per hour!
So is the Freja 65 your second Flemming yacht because your 1st video was in a Flemming 55 where you said you were going to sail across the Pacific eventually ending up in Europe.
Correct. We bought a Fleming 55 and not long afterwards the 65 we now own came on the market with low hours. Then our borders were closed due to Covid. I'm originally from Sweden so I haven't seen family for some time. The future for us is definitely to take the boat to Europe. There is one other big piece of news that we haven't told anyone publicly that relates to another boat. Another Fleming.....
Yes, well spotted. We did upgrade nearly 2 years ago. The opportunity was there and the extra displacement and waterline length was nice to have! Plus more room for toys.
@@cruisingfreja I think that you missed the point. I tuned in because I was interested in your boat and your adventure. The background music was irrelevant and unnecessary, it simply interfered with the enjoyment of the video. If I choose to listen to music then I listen to music. If I'm interested in what someone is saying then I do not choose to listen to music. It seems to be a trend that background music imposes itself as a necessity. Let's put it this way, if we are having a conversation where we are exchanging ideas, views and experiences then it would be annoying, if not rude, for someone to be playing music alongside us. We would move tables. In the case of your video I switched off. Do you feel that your content needed to be supplemented with backgound music because on its own it did not have sufficient interest or simply wasn't important enough to be listened to?
@@55north17 hey there captain rhetorical your initial comment was more than sufficient to get the point across, state it then move on. Are you that self centered that you really think anyone's interested on reading an essay on why you think your point is valid?
Excellent boat. Please keep making videos. You have a great speaking voice and come across very well in front of the camera. Plus, if I can be so bold, it is nice to see people that have obviously made the right choices in life, have a family and are making videos properly - no gimmicks. Heck, even if you simply post a live stream video feed of your travels (assuming you have unlimited internet) it would be great - and you would be the first to do so and may get huge views if that interests you. Regardless, please keep up the great work.
Thank you for your kind words. We have made a lot of choices and hopefully the right ones. It's been a great ride until now and long term cruising is a way of life, like many other ways, that is rewarding and outside the typical. Thanks again for your kind words
@@cruisingfreja ..that's a great one.. But the short clip @13:35 that you are rocking to(before midnight train).. I love the sound but can't place the song at all??
