Thanks for saying it’s not passive. SO many people say that, but I found that not to be true. The second time around it was definitely easier, but not completely passive.

Yes, definitely! There are a lot of new teachers out there that do not understand that it’s not completely passive.

Anything but passive! The amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to make flex classes work is seriously anything but passive.

For my first flex class, I did not download my final class video lesson. 😬😬😬 Thankfully I didn’t delete the video yet, but that was definitely a scary moment when the parent told me I repeated the same video lesson for the final week. 😂

I've got several FLEX classes listed, and I've seen very little success with them. I hope these tips help me get more enrollments! I've put a lot of work into these things!

Hi Sarah! Fingers crossed for you! I agree, those Flex classes are anything but easy to set up.

Try offering them several days each week and if a specific day gets more enrollments :)

Yes people don’t realize how much work is put into them, I am just about to start with a one-time class, and didn’t realize that I also have to market I mean I thought that’s what they did, but I guess for my classes I need to market

I did my first flex class when they extra encouraged that super interaction and it was kinda hard to get the classes approved. The have relaxed now on that. I was also afraid of it being viewed as "just youtube videos" so i got a little carried away. I post something Monday through Friday. I call it meaty monday - thats the main part of the course, probably why they signed up. The other days might be simple would you rather questions, or an activity page. Because of that I have always only started my classes on monday. And now I fear I have locked myself into that, and if they take another flex class with me they will expect the same. I currently offer 3 Flex classees.

I remember when Outschool did require an immense amount of interaction between learners and student. They also used to make us state that participation was required

Do you coach people who want to join Outschool as teachers?

I did a bit last year but am taking time off from coaching to focus on a few projects 😊

Hello, I’m new to outschool and I haven’t sold any classes! Do you think I should keep creating courses and see if they sell?
@KristensClassroom
@KristensClassroom Год назад
I would make 3-5 solid courses and then offer them as often as possible

Give families time to schedule your classes 😊

I had a friend sign up her kid to take my class and asked for an honest review to get the ball rolling. Also check what they say is in demand. It was slow at first but I happen to be an expert on one of the things that was in demand and that class took off.

Wow, and I just started my first class will be Friday but no learners yet, so how about now? Do you have anyone that has enrolled?

focusing long enough to sit down and make them. and pricing. I tried doing the suggested $40 for 4 weeks but ended up lowering it.

What age groups have you found most success with when you are listing flex classes?

I have a number of FLEX classes on Outschool and I've seen an uptick on enrollments as well! How do you get your students/parents to post reviews for your classes? I've been on outschool for 1 1/2 years and it has been so hard to get reviews even though I've offered coupons for my other classes if they will complete a review. Any tips would be awesome! Thanks for your videos, they are so helpful!

Hello Rachel! I'm so glad to hear you're getting more enrollments! It definitely took me some time get into the rhythm of flex scheduling, but it's slowing starting to pay off! :)

And when it comes to getting reviews, my best advice would be to mention it as the end of your class OR leave a written message to learners once the class is completed. Something like, "if you enjoyed today's class, be sure to let me with a review - I'd love to hear from you". I received my first reviews simply by asking learners what they thought was most helpful in our material.
