Great review Chris. Got a different model myself from the same company (yours actually looks better than mine). It’s a bit fiddly to attach to the mat but I do love it. Light is great for filming inside the tent too 👍

@@MCMOutdoors i did make a small add on mod to mine just to prevent any accidental switching on… i wasn’t too worried about the pump accidentally switching on in my pack as you would clearly hear it, but i wanted to prevent any chance of the light being switched on and running out the battery as i’m hiking to my location.. Maybe me being a bit over the top ? But Hopefully this will help out someone if they felt the same. The mod - was just a small cutout of thick hard plastic from a bottle or something similar - i used a small cutout about 1.5” x 2” from one of those really thin plastic chopping boards (from b&m). Cut a small locating piece out on 2 opposite sides for a thick rubber band to locate on… then put this around the pump which shields the button… sorry i’m being a bit wordy, but thought i would share. I might post up a quick short video to show, if anyone is interested…. Cheers all Mark

That’s a cracking bit of kit. I have the Tiny Pump X version, which also has a light. Got to say though, your model has much better nozzle connection and it’s much faster at inflation than the Tiny Pump X. Nice one mate 👍

Looks like a really nice bit of kit, indeed. I purchased a similar product from Exped right before Christmas, The Exped Widget. I am a bit of an Exped fanboy, with a tent, a few mats and a also few waterproof backpacks that I absolutely love. But I have to admit that this pump looks much nicer, and less bulky. The deflate function, if it actually works, would also be nice a nice addition that the Widget lacks. Although, I have not actually attempted to deflate anything. The price might be better too.

It's a decent bit of kit mate - my review criteria is a) will I actually use it and b) do I think my subs would - this ticks all the boxes really and saves me nearly passing out 😅 also prevents moisture going into an expensive sleeping bad. Thanks for watching pal

I just recently bought this, but the USB port charger doesn't seem to work to charge my phone. I understand that it's not a stand-alone phone charger but it's the very reason also chose this one as it can be handy for an emergency charger.

Nice review Chris i bought the tiny pump a few years back its absolutely superb. I wont be upgrading on the back of this because the tiny pump does all the pro does with exception of the power bank and possibly a little bit slower. Wish id had one for my alpkit mats mould ruined them.

I recently took the plunge and bought a Thermarest Neoair X-Lite, nearly £200 smackeroos.... AND it had a hole in it.......so had to send back......shocking...... anyway, I thought I'd get the Thermarest Neoair pump to go with it. It's only 64g..... BUT, it is battery operated, no light and took well over 3 1/2 mins to inflate the mat. Bugger that. I bought this pump instead, as you say Chris, if your gear is multi function, ultimately, you save weight. Keep on Truckin' with this great channel pal. ATB.

Not cheap are they - definitely worth looking after the investment with either a pump or the pump sack - but as this can be used as a light too, bit of a decent idea and bit of kit! ATB pal

I have the Tiny pump X from the same company - basically the same thing but smaller, not so powerful and no "power bank" feature. This time of year I still get a little moisture in the mat when the air is damp, but nowhere near as much as when using my mouth.

Thanks for watching Roger - I always store my mats having up with the valve open so air can circulate a bit, but like the peace of mind and convenience this little pump offers.

I saw these when they arrived on the scene the past couple of years and weighed them up, I ended up getting a different pump and regreted it, far too heavy and three times the size. It did have a larger battery capacity so that was to be expected but I do want to grab one of these for the shorter 1 nighters etc. The light feature is a brilliant edition and it looks more professional than the previous model so im sold. I messed my flextail 1st time i use. Now its not working. What happen was i turned it on without watching the surround. When i turn it on all the hair on the floor was suck into it. I manage to vacuum out of it but now it not working. I wonder if i can open inside and check if there is any hair inside.

Nope. The unit is used as a power bank as it is, ie not removing anything. The internal battery is not removable.
